My 4 mth old poop is green in color. Although it is seeded but i think mustard color is the best one prescribed. Some sites say, i am not feeding him on each breast long enough. But i feed him on one breast one time and use the other for the next feed. Any suggestions??
Poop is just about every shade possible. It probably was from something you ate, and you shouldn't worry about it.

my cousin's one mnth old had been pooping green and her doctor told her is was because she wasn't getting enough meat and fat in her diet so the baby wasnt getting through her breast milk
yes, it is normal, but you may want to offer the other breast to see he he is in need or pump the other side while nursing, you will get more if you pump while nursing and you won't loose any milk during let down either. Just a suggestion but we had lime greenish to orangish until we started to introduce foods then it's on!
I know nothing about breast feeding...but have you eaten any cake or anything like that with yellow or blue frosting? That always turns my (older) kids poop green!! I know its silly...but just a thought!

Yep it happens with foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. Are you always nursing him or do you pump and give him milk too? Sometimes my pumped milk bottles would have an imbalance and then we would end up with the green poops but generally if I nursed we were AOK. The morning nursing session though I had way more milk than he could ever take on one side so I started pumping that one while nursing on the other (I could pump 8 oz one one side first thing in the morning -- even while nursing 2-3 times overnight -- it was an oversupply issue).
That's common to have poop like that.
For me, per my Doctor and the Pediatrician and hospital Nurses, I nursed my kids with BOTH breasts each session.
And they stayed on, as long as they needed to and were feeding.
It takes, about 15 minutes for an infant to reach the 'hind' milk. Then they often feed longer.
As a baby gets older.... feeding time will be shorter, because a baby naturally gets more 'efficient' at it.
An infant, can take time to nurse. 1/2 hour even. Some more.
It's normal.
I think the only thing you need to worry about is if poop is black or if there is blood in it.
As long as you're feeding on one breast for a long period, that's fine. If he only nurses a short time on each, he may not be getting enough hindmilk and that can lead to green poop. Mustard is yellow, not green. If his poo is green, tell the doctor.
Yep sounds normal...Depends on what is eaten and if there is a lot of nasal drainage I notice it with my kids.
