Irregular Bleeding
I have been bleeding on and off for about two weeks now. I started to bleed a week and a half before my period is due. I thought my period just came early but then when the time came, my period did too. So I had been bleeding off and on for two weeks. I also had a yeast infection in the middle of it, so I was on Monistat for 7 days. I am taking ortho tri cyclen lo. I had my second c-section last July. Also sometimes when my husband and I are together I have some soreness in my abdomen. Not sure what is going on. I'm going to go to an OBGYN next week, just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I'm kind of freaking out. I'll let you know what the Dr. says too. Thanks!
Update: Today is Sunday, I am having a lot of soreness in lower abdomin all the way across, the bleeding has stopped but I feel like I'm bruised. Ibuprofen seems to help. I'm going in tomorrow. Thanks for the comments so far.
So What Happened?™
Thank you everyone for your responses and input. I went to my OB today and he did an ultrasound and found an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. He said that it wasn't very big and that it will probably go away on it's own. I feel much better knowing it's nothing serious.

I had the same thing happen to me but the cause of it was my I.U.D. We had it removed and the soreness and bleeding stopped.

Get to your doctor now! My daughter had this and it turned out to be a tubal pregnancy. She almost died. Please, be safe- go now! See a different doc or go to the emergency room if your regular doc can't see you sooner.

Hi L.,
I am glad you posted your concerns. I don't have any suggestions, I was actually hoping you will let me know what your Dr. says because I am having the same symptoms. I have been having them for a while now, but my Dr. said it was because of my IUD and it will wear off after a little while. I just don't know if it still should be giving me problems. It is such a problem for me to get to the dr.s because of my schedule and my kids, so I don't want to go if its nothing. Good luck and I hope to hear from you! Thanks!

Hi L.,
I recommend a book called Hormone Balance, Your Life & Health by Kristine Klitzke, R.N., B.S.N. It has some AMAZING information! I started taking the transdermal, bioidentical, natural progestrone cream and saw phenomenal results in a very short time...I woun't go without it anymore! I have done a lot of research on this and found out that unfortunately there are very few doctors that go outside the formularies or what the case studies from the pharmas relate to them. A wonderful doctor out in Aurora is Raphael D'Angelo. If you can get an appointment with him, I would highly recommend it! He saved my 2nd pregnancy and I was able to deliver VBAC.

You need to get to your obgyn asap. I'm glad that you have an appt next week. It is most likely a cyst or endometriosis. While an ultrasound will show a cyst, it will probably not show the endometriosis. Request a vaginal ultrasound too because that shows more. Your dr will want to know when and how often you have pain so start keeping track. If it is bad enough, you could have surgery to remove the endo. Endo is tricky because you may not have a lot of it, but it could be on your ligaments, etc so it is more painful. I've had a few surgeries for it (I have endo and cysts), so if you have any questions just let me know. Good luck!

Hi L.
I can understand that you would be freaking out since this is something new and a little frightening. My advice to you is to do your best to stay calm and wait and see what the doc says. You have done the right thing by making an appointment with a professional and getting this checked out quickly. There could be many reasons why this is happening and the not knowing is the scary part. Our bodies are amazing, though. Let your mind rest in knowing that you are taking care of this and seeing a professional soon. Enjoy your days and do not predict any gloom on yourself. You will know very soon. I do want to know what your doc says. That is what this site is for - support. This may not be what you wanted but I thought it might be nice for you to hear that I understand. I believe that worrying just steals today's moments. I'll be waiting to hear what you find out.

It could be an ovarian cyst which causes tenderness during intercourse. Your ob/gyn will know.

I had a similar problem, and it ended up being endometriosis. I had surgery for it and the problem is completely gone. Glad you are going into OBGYN though! GOOD LUCK!
