Ipad Apps

Does anyone have any ipad apps that are educational they would recommend for a 3yr old. Preferably some that focus on ABC's.

I don't have iPad but I have an Android phone & my kids & niece love to play zoodles & it does have educational stuff on the site. It keeps them busy when have to wait for long time somewhere.

Hey -
I don't have an ipad, but I do have an iphone and I think that most of the aps go both ways. I know you said "ABCs", but there are other learning skills that my daughter is learning from these aps:
1. Tozzles - puzzle pieces where they put the puzzle piece in the correct location.
2. Blocks - she likes this one - but it just brings out the numbers and letters and says them and they slide on the phone. She just likes to hit them as fast as she can to hear them say the numbers and letters. But, you can't build with the blocks.
3. Toy Story 3 - memory match.

Good luck!

They seem to have a lot of abc apps. From what I see they use something different than the itunes for the iphones, ipods, and ipod touches? My 2 1/2 year old loves the abcs animals, but I got it from the itunes store for an ipod touch. Stinks that no one has answered with an ipad. The ipad portion of the apple site suggests there are 9000 educational apps maybe just search abcs and see what comes up. Alphabytes is awesome and so is shape-o abcs. My daughter did not do puzzles but when she started doing these puzzles and the animal safari puzzle (a different app) she does them so fast now.

search BOB books...there is a free trial app and there is a 4.99 app...it is great. my 2 year old loves it and it has helped my 4 year old read. it is phonic based and has several levels that you can choose for letter recognition, phonics, or spelling...it is a reading primer...hands down best out there. you can also (later down the road) find the program with the books at the library.

We had an ipod touch before the ipad... All apps on the ipod transferred over the the ipad... to get it full size hit the x2 on the ipad. My 3 year old likes ipuzzleword. It is advanced for her, but they do show and say the letters while she moves the puzzle-free app. She isn't spelling just figuring out the picture puzzle. Preschool..(with a giraffe) on the app is another good one. Look for any free apps you can try them, then buy the if you like them with out ads or the full version. ABC phonics, pocketphonic.

Star fall (there is an app, and even more great activities on the website, www.star fall.com) and Teach Me (they have preK, K, and 1st grade versions). There's no space in star fall ... I just can't seem to stop my auto-correct!

I also love BOB books for learning to read (after your child already knows letter sounds) but haven't seen the app.
