Hi, M..

My husband is a hunter and we use a little device called a thermacell. He bought it to use in the woods and last summer when the baby was only 6 months, I wasn't too keen on the idea of bug spray. Its worth its weight in gold! It costs about $20 and the refills are 3/$6. All you do is turn it on and you're bug free! No chemicals, no open flames, no bugs! I can't remember if its a 15 foot diameter or radius, but none the less, its great! They sell a belt clip for it now too. (Or so my husband tells me!)

Hi M.,
I actually make a safe and effective insect repellent for my family using products from Melaleca The Wellness Company. Visit www.melaleuca.com or www.saferforyourhome.com. The recipe is as follows:

Mosquito Repellent for Babies & Children
Sol-U-Mel - 3 ounces
5 Drops of T36-C5 oil
Water 8 to 16 ounces
you can spray this on their skin, clothes and even their strollers

My daughter Alexis is now 6 and Alyssa is now 17 months. I've used on both of them every summer and it works great. If you'd like to shop online with Melaleuca, let me know.

M.

I used the Burt's Bee and ended up with a sunburn because it is an oil. This was a few years ago so it may have changed. Try Avon we have used their's in the past.
