My daughter took a pen and drew on our micro suede light colored couch. I have a hard time getting ink out of clothes and I'm at a bit of a loss for furniture. Any solutions? I really need help getting this out as the couch is new...not very happy with my daughter.

What can I do next?

Nordstrom sells a lingerie wash and stain remover in their lingerie department that works wonders. I've gotten ink out of shirts and even red wine out of a wedding dress. It just might work on your sofa!

I have been told that with the mirco fiber you can use rubbing alcohol It should help remove any spot. I also know that ink comes out of clothes with hair spray. Just spray some hair spray on the spot and it will help the ink disolve. Afterward you can launder as usaul. You may want to call a furniture store in your area if this doesn't work.

We just got a four inch ball point ink mark out of my Pottery Barn micro suede sofa with a Lysol Disinfecting wipe. Just wiped it out then blotted it dry and it completely came out!!

I know that hair spray works to get it out of clothes, but I wouldn't want to test it on the couch.

With clothes, I spray aerosol (sp?) hair spray on the stain and completely saturate it before washing them normally in the washing machine.

We also have light colored microsuede couches, and I also have a daughter who loves to draw on them (and everything else). I've always been able to get everything off of the couches with microfiber towels and water, including sharpie! We got them at Costco a few years ago, but you could probably find them anywhere. The best part is you dont have to worry about chemicals ruining the couch, since you just use water.
