"Ink Explosion" Trying to Find a Way to Get Ink Stains Out of My Dryer

A typical incident and was wondering if anyone knows how to get the Ink stains out of your dryer. My son left an ink pen in his pocket and made it to the dryer and got ink not only on my dryer but also the clothes. I am not to worried about the clothes they can be replaced but I hate seeing Ink in my dryer. Any suggestions on getting the ink stain out.

What can I do next?

try using hairspray. just spray it on , wait a few seconds and wipe it off. you can also use it on the clothes. I've seen haispay get ink out of a suede leather couch with no leftover marks.

My husband leaves pens in his shirt sometimes! I've gone through this many times. Alcohol or "Goo Gone" works better than hairspray for me. One time it was so bad, that didn't work, so for the dryer, my husband used automotive rubbing compound. That took the remaining ink off.

Good luck!

try saturating a rag with hairspray and wiping. Hairspray is also good for getting ink out of clothes.Good luck, L.

Spraying hair spray directly on the ink stains, and then blotting with a clean rag or paper towel is somewhat effective. By all means do not dry the item in the clothes dryer until you have treated it repeatedly, as the heat will set the stain.

Go to any Family Dollar or Dollar Tree and get "Awesome" it is only $1 it will get any stain out and it harmless. Chances are you can get the ink out of the clothing as well. Even after it has been dryed

have you tried the mr. clean magic eraser? i love those things and have yet to find anything they can't remove...i've always heard hairspray works on ink, too.

My son did the same thing. Put hairspray on the dryer stains, wait for a few minutes and wipe them off. It may take a couple of applications. Also works on the clothes. Good luck!

Try WD40 or Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Good luck

hair spay put it on a rag and wipe out your dryer if it got onto clothes spay the spot with hair spray and have a rag under it the rag will catch the ink i dont know why it works it does not need to be arosol it can be the pump kind and it can be any brand.
