A humidifier in the baby's room, along with suctioning their nose, and putting in saline drops, and then also using chest rub. Little Colds makes a great chest rub product. You can also elevate their crib mattress by putting a pillow underneath of the mattress itself.

All that with lots of cuddles from you.

Hope baby feels better soon!

Saline and humidifier. Do not use the suction b/c it could ruin the membrane in her nose. Ball up some blankets and put it under the mattress at one end. This way the mattress will be at a tilt and help the drainage.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do.

If she starts running fever, take her to the doctor.

B.,

For an infant less than 3 months....take to the Dr. What you are calling a bad cold could be RSV which is a virus that causes a LOT of mucus. This mucus can plug alveoli and bronchial tubes which blocks air movement in the lungs. Babies with RSV are almost always hospitalized!
They can't cough or spit up this stuff. In other words, they can't effectively keep their own airway open without some deep suction.

Please take this baby to the DR.!!!

Blessings to your family

Cool mist humidifier. I wouldn't overuse the suction syringe, but use it when necessary. Put the mattress on a bit of a tilt. You can do that by putting a blanket under the mattress. Talk to the doc for more tips.

Vick's vapor rub on the chest, neck and back and a humidifier that uses the vick's tablets. Keep the nose suctioned and give lots of cuddling and love!
