My children take lessons at the Hall of Fame Pool on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. They have a Fort Lauderdale Aquatics swim school program and they also have Red Cross lessons offered. We have tried booth and have been very happy. We like the new classes on Sundays (Red Cross) and classes in the early evening offered by the swim school. Plus they have a new program now that the parents can use the teaching pool - with a shade cover - on Sundays after the lessons are over, its called Shark Club. The website is through the City since it is a public pool: www.fortlauderdale.gov/flac

Sharing a recent communication ...
Good Morning~
Let me start by telling you that I love ISR! I love ISR because it gave my two sons the skills to save their lives; I love ISR because without it I might not have the joy of becoming a grandma one day; I love it because I am able to save other children from harm and have had several of my students save themselves from a potential tragedy.
I have been teaching full time since August of 2006. Since then I have trained almost 50 children and have received reports from four parents regarding survival stories.
I have about 20 students a day and could never reach all the children in SFL. I receive calls & emails every day from parents that want these lessons.
Thank you,
Natalie & Zachary Jones

The Jack Nelson swim school (the new one in Wilton Manors) is also where we just took our daughter. It is called Aqua Champs. They are wonderful and have been highly recommended by other mothers.
Good luck!

Hi H.~
I think we did a mommy and me program back when our sons were 6 weeks old at Nova. How have ya been!?!? But I just saw your post and coincidentally just this week (so he about 9.5 months old now) Alex started with Natalie Jones in Pompano (Roughly; it is close to Atlantic and Federal, It is @ the Pompano Aquatic Center), and she is with Infant Swim Resource. So far so good, she is amazing with Alex. Like anything there have been a few tears but she does not push him, just lets him lead the lesson. It is 5 days a week and for no more than 10 minutes per day. But she is really nice and I totally trust her with my son!!! And she is SUPER patient as I had 101 questions before we started…LOL!!!
Below is her web pages feel free to check em’ out!!! She also lists her prices as well.

There is a program called ISR...they have it in many places depending where you live. It is $450.00 (at the YMCA aquatics dept.in Hollywood,FL) for the course which is 6 weeks; 10 minutes a day; 5 days a week. I believe you can get a 10% coupon from Mammasource.com.

I can highly recommend a FANTASTIC swimming instructor in the area of Plantation. My son staretd last year, when he was 8 mos old. He was doing survival classes at the time. Currently my son is now starting to swim to the edge with the same instructor. I can't emphasize how important this is and how it has benefit my son, who is now 22 mos old. At the moment she is instructing at "The Central Park Pool"--Mon- Fri. Here is her contact info..Tracy ####-###-####. Good Luck!
