Infant Pajamas

I am looking for extra warm footie pajamas for my 5 month old. My now 4 year old son used LL Bean footies when he was an infant and they were super warm and thick and toasty. Unfortunately, they don't sell those anymore. I bought their "featherweight fleece" and it's not nearly as warm.
My daughter flips over a lot so, sleepers blankets won't work.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks to everyone except GLO T. You advice was helpful. We bought the Carters PJ's and layered my daughter up. She's nice and toasty. The old LL Bean PJ's were great. I never had to put anything under my son's PJ's so when it came to my daughter I was at a loss. Thanks again ladies!

Carter's fleece footed pj's or Children's Place fleece footies. Carter's are my absolute favorite! My 5 year old still wears them. Online store is having a sale as we speak! Target & Walmart both carry lines that are divisions of Carter's.

I just got one from Children's Place. They called it a sleeper but really it's just like a really warm fleece footie pj's. Don't know if it's as warm as you're looking for though. It also seems a little larger, like it's meant to go over something else (probably, if it's meant to be a sleeper).

We just layer our baby up. Onesie, footie pj's, sleepsack, and a receiving blanket to swaddle down his arms. On warmer nights we just skip the onesie and/or sleepsack.

try to sew and see how it turns out

another option is to put her in two pair of pj's one thinner cotton and one fleece over that -no blanket needed!

One word: Carter's.

I like Carters as well. I will say that both my kids wiggled quite a bit but I kept them in those sleep blankets from Carters until they were like 6 months. Both my kiddos were pretty big though and grew out of them fairly quickly, but I had good luck with them, even after they started rolling, etc. I've also used the Gerber ones and they are okay, but Gerber runs super small so buy big. I prefer the Carter's fleece ones though!

Instead of footie pajamas, my daughter lived in Hanna Andersson long-sleeved zip up pajamas and their warm, Swedish Moccasins (slipper socks). At 5 months old, she was wearing their size 60...She was super cozy in them and I never felt she needed anything else. If it was really cold, I'd put her in a halo sac on top of the pajamas but she sweated easily so I usually was too afraid she'd overheat with the sac on. The outlet store is having a big sale right now. If you go to Hannaandersson.com and look up the phone numbers for the outlet stores (I think there are 4 or 5 across the US), they will ship items to you for a reasonable cost. The pajamas and moccasins are very costly full-price. I just called the outlet last week and their pajamas were 15.00 a pair and the moccasins in two colors (navy and french blue) went down to 5.00 a pair!

Good luck!
