Indoor Playground

Does anyone know of any indoor playgrounds/areas? My daughter is 2 and loves to run and play at the parks. With winter approaching I am trying to get ideas.

What can I do next?

Most of the St. Paul Recreation centers have tot time at their gyms one morning a week. We looked up all the tot times and found that there is at least one to choose from almost every day of the week. They have scooters, bikes, balls, and all sorts of toys available, and lots of other toddlers and preschoolers to play with. There's no "formal" program, the parents or caregivers supervise the childrens' play. My 16 month old has a great time!

The Maplewood Mall has a really cute new indoor playground by the food court. My 2-year-old daughter loves it.

Try the Eagle's Nest, just off 694 and Silver Lake Road, its wonderful! Both my kids (7 and 18mos) love it, there are seperate areas for big and little kids. Also, some of the malls have some indoor play areas, I know for a fact Rosedale mall has one.

There are two malls that have a great and safe play area and no charge for play time, Rosedale and Maplewood mall.
My son is 3 now, but when he was just under 2 I took him to the MN childrens museum in St. Paul and he loved it. Another indoor park is in Woodbury, by their new library. I can't remember the name of the indoor park. There is a fee to utilize that park. Hope this helps.-K.M.

There's a place called The Blast at the Eagan Community Center. That's fun :) I think it's $5. You can find more info on the website. http://156.142.111.38/live/page.asp?menu=2785
Good luck :)

There is a nice indoor park in Edina, just South of Soutdale, it's called Edinborough Park (not sure of spelling). There is also one called the "Eagles Nest" in New Brighton, more on the Northern suburbs. Only two I know of for sure, other than the smallish indoor play areas at Ridgedale and Eden Prairie Center.

Good luck!

Edinborough (sp?) in Edina, although there's an entry fee now. Check out your local parks & rec department. Minneapolis has indoor gym time with some climbing equipment (free, but they're supposed to charge for non-Mpls residents) at park buildings. Also, Way to Grow has indoor gym/play time at various places and locations.
