In Search of Wonderful Pediatric in Southside Area or Beaches
My 4 month old currently goes to a pediatrician at the beaches but I'm not really a fan of that clinic and would like to find someone else if possible. I just want someone who has a good personality, accredited, and has a lot of experience in this field with children. The doctor my daughter goes to now is very headstrong about her thoughts and doesnt discuss health issues very well. I have been to another doctor out of the area whom I really favored but I cant drive the 4 hour commute it would be to get there everytime. I dont feel comfortable with the current clinic and they dont control their patients from the sick to the well rooms which makes me fear that they may not keep their facility sanitized. Please help before our next wellness check!

Dr. Altomare with Baptist Primary Care is awsome. He is a wonderful pediatrician. His number is ###-###-####. He never makes you feel rushed and from what I can tell so far and from what I have heard he is not headstrong. He listens to what you have to say. Everyone that I have talked to that goes to him absolutely loves him.
As far as playgroups I am part of a playgroup called Jaxmomsandtots. If you go to Yahoo and go into groups for Jacksonville you should be able to get to their home page. I would just give you the email address but I can't remember it right off the top of my head. If you can't find it let me know and I will get you the address. This group does have some Navy moms and some moms that right about in your age range. They are a great group of women.

I highly recommend Progressive Pediatrics, Dr. Miles and Dr. Ceron. The number is ###-###-####. I can't say enough about them! They spend so much time with us and they are both very supportive of my parenting style. The biggest thing is finding a doctor who understands how you parent and supports your decisions...and they have been right on every time!!

We have an absolutly wonderful pediatrician on University near Beach Boulevard. His name is Jeremy Harris ###-###-#### (3636 S University Blvd). He treats all his patients like their his own children and is very thorough. I would highly recommend him to you.

Hi A.,
I take my 7 month old son to Oceanside Pediatrics. His Dr. is Dr. Barbara O'Reilly. I have felt very comfortable with the practice & they have a separate sick waiting room & well visit room.
Also, there are some playgroups online - if you go to yahoo.com, there are a couple of area playgroups.

Progressive Pediatrics off of Beach Blvd. over near the Southside SuperWAlmart. Dr. Valerie Miles and Dr. Ceron. Both of these doctors are PHENOMENAL. Sorry, don't have the phone number handy for you. They have more than 25 years combined experience and both of them have an excellent bedside manner!
