Hi B.,
First thanks for your advise! Anyhow, I think I can help you with the job thing if your husband is still looking. My husband is a foreman at Prime Bridgeport-it is on 380 just as you get into Bridgeport if you are comming from Decatur. They are really short staffed and hiring. It is a great company to work for with super people. They are a supplier of steel building supplies. All he has to do is go there and ask for Marvin-he's the manager-very nice and easy going.

If your husband isn't afraid of hard work, tell him to apply at Coca Cola. They are located in N. Fort Worth, basically the intersection of NE Loop 820 and I35. The website is http://www.cokecce.com/careers/ If there isn't anything available right away, keep checking. They add and remove things daily.

Yep, I was going to say the same thing. Coke is always hiring drivers and they start off pretty well with little or no experience. Look for Route Merchandiser or Bulk Driver positions at the Fossil Creek location (Beach & Sandshell). They will train them and get him his CDL. VERY physical work, but it's a good company. One thing, he must have a clean driving record and maintain one. Also Ben E. Keith in south Fort Worth (Will Roger's Blvd) is always hiring delivery drivers as well. As is Whattaburger Corporate. I hear they are in need of people and the pay is great, but long days. Good luck.

Hi B.,
I know you were asking for referrals for your husband, and I second the recommendation of Coke or UPS. But also, back when we fell on some hard times, I looked for a work at home business for myself. I still stay at home with my child, but now I make an income too.
Just wanted to mention that you can make money while staying home with your kids -
Best of Luck!

Dont know if this will appeal to your hubby or not but Dominos. I know it sounds crazy but my hubby worked there for a long time and averaged around $13-20/hr most days. You get paid milage and tips plus hourly. Its an easy job if you can hussle and are good w/ traffic. I would never have imagined that delivering would make as much money as it did. It has benefits like insurance for the drivers now too. My hubby stopped working there when he finally got on w/ the post office but may start back again just for extra spending cash and b/c he really did like it. Just a thought! (its not just a teenager job either..there were actually more people over 25 there than the young ones).

Also another thing about coke that I have heard it that there benefits are great. they have a fabulous health insurance policy. Also I was just wondering what kind of work he is looking for office? warehouse? sales?

FedEx or UPS are good places to try also.
