I'm Having a Boy This Time, Anyone Notice Differences Carrying a Boy Then a Girl
Subject pretty much says it but I am 20 wks now and seem to be showing a lot more. I know you can with a second pregnancy but I'm pretty round. I also feel hungrier this time and was wondering if carrying a big ol boy was the reason. He must have heard that comment bc he kicked pretty good. LOL! One more thing, I got pretty dizzy the other day, you ladies feelin that?

actually. I was VERY round and my bump was showing more than someone just as pregnant as i was and i had a big girl. [[9lbs 3oz at birth the doctors said she would be NO MORE than 8 lbs.]] and yes i was dizzy an awful lot throughout my pregnancy but the doctors said it was nothing to be concerned about with all those extra hormones and so much blood going to my baby & all the good stuff that comes along with the baby lol its to be expected. & i was ALWAYS hungry. i couldnt seem to get enough food [[which is probably why she was so big]] I know they make a big deal about if you're carrying high its probably a girl & if you carry low its probably a boy... unfortunatly even that wasnt true in my case, i carried pretty low. so theres no telling until that ultrasound.

I've been talking to my girlfriends about this. We all experienced more blood sugar problems with our boy pregnancies than with our girl. We were more tired, ate more, gained more weight and felt worse. Here is my advice. Avoid sugar and get more protein. Also, be sure to take some D3 supplements. You need 2000-4000 IU a day. Best Wishes!

I can't compare pregnancies of a girl vs boy, but I got dizzy during my pregnancy. I have a boy. During my pregnancy, I would get dizzy in the morning quite often. My dr gave me a few reasons that make a lot of sense. Maybe it'll help you. The obvious one is to eat something first thing out of bed to help your blood sugar. I've never been much of a breakfast person and it really affected me during my pregnancy. Second thing is not to take a really hot shower. During pregnancy, your blood vessels are enlarged to carry blood to the baby. A hot shower influences your blood vessels and flow in some way. I don't remember the exact explanation, but it definitely helped when I monitored this.

I have 2 boys and just had a girl in August and I carried her completely different. With the boys, I did get dizzy a few times and would have to sit because I thought I was going to pass out. I carried both of them very high and gained less than 30 lbs. With my girl, I carried her very low and gained over 50 lbs...it was awful. I swelled up with all pregnancies, but it was the worst with my daughter. I don't know about the hunger...I ate a lot with all of mine! And my boys were only 6 lbs 9 oz and my girl was 8 lbs 3 oz. However, my boys did arrive early (1 was 5 weeks early) and I was finally induced with my daughter 4 days before my due date...I was 5 cm and still not in labor! Good luck and congrats on your baby boy!

I had 3 sons, each pregnancy was different in the way I carried them. The first one I gained weight all over. I also had pre-eclampsia so I had a ton of swelling. The second I carried all out front and you could not tell I was even pregnant unless you saw my belly. The last one I carried low in front. The only thing that was the same for me was the morning sickness! LOL! Glad that part only stays around for the pregnancy. I had mine 24/7 the entire time I was pregnant.

I have four children--three boys and a girl. All four of my pregnancies were different and all four children are their own unique person.

I don't think I carried much differently with my first (a girl) than my second (a boy). Both big and round and all belly. I did gain 10 lbs. more with him than I did with her- grrr. And I also craved different things. I craved more meat with him and sweets with her. He was significantly bigger than she was 1 lb. 3 oz. heavier. As far as getting dizzy- I did and usually found that I hadn't had enough water to drink that day and was dehydrated. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy!!

Hi L.,
You can't go by how you feel or look. My 2 pregnancies were completely diffeent. Nothing was similar....except that they were both boys! How I looked, how I felt, what I craved, hair growth....everythig was different.
Congratualtions! But you won't know for sure without genetic testing or a baby in your arms!
