I'm curious...What Is Your 8 Month Old Eating Throughout the Day?
Hello,
My son (8 months old today!!!!) still has his 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day (unless he's sleeping of course). He has cereal and fruit for breakfast. For dinner usually veggies and fruit, sometimes meat or noodles/rice. Of course juice and now YoBaby. He doesn't eat like that everyday though. Sometimes we're out, or he falls asleep. He's not on a set schedule or I wouldn't call it that. He pretty much has the same pattern every day. But we as moms know, once you get their routine down it changes so....
I'm just wondering if we're "normal"? What are you and your 8 month old doing? Does your baby eat lunch too? Does your baby eat three meals every day and bottles?
This is my second child....you'd swear I've never done this before. I just forgot a lot of stuff. And I didn't realize just how much busier I'd be with 1 more. Yikers!!!
Thank you.

My son is also 8 months today too!!! It goes way too fast! My son eats three meals a day and has at least 4 6oz bottles a day! And I am slowly switching him to solids (whatever he eats). But he has been like this since he was 5 months!

My son is 7.5 months and I was wondering if he is eating normal. He usually eats 3 meals a day and has a 8 oz bottle with each meal. Breakfast...Gerber 2nd Fruit. Lunch and Dinner....2nd Fruit and Veg.
He's been this way for about a month now. He hates any kind of cereal even if I mix applesauce or other fruits with it. I was wondering when I should start giving him real food in small pieces??

At eight months old my son never had a routine. I fed him in the mornings when I ate, and yes he still had his bottles too, but i gave him fruit, veggies... all the things you are doing. Yes, what your doing is normal, don't worry. He won't develop a actual routine that he will stick to until he is about a year old. My son is sixteen months old now, and he is SOOOO PICKY!!! It's pretty much up to him now what he wants and when he wants it so... your fine though.

By 8 months I had switched the baby to mostly table foods and to eating when I ate, plus some snacks. So little pieces of whatever we ate cut really really small. She loved to feed herself and didn't like to be fed with a spoon, so that is why I made the switch. Let them try it, see how they do.
