Ill-fitting Long Underwear!!! Ugh!!
I desperately need to find "underlayers" that fit!!! I have tried Wal-Mart's, Target's, Kohl's, and even LL Bean's. NO BUENO!! The cheaper ones I listed are all too short. My ankles deserve to be warm, too, don't they? I like for my underlayers to fit snuggly, but when I buy smaller, they are shorter. Right now, I have on my silk underwear from LL Bean--size small. The legs are long enough, but they are loose and the waist band is sitting right under the boobs I don't have. Yes, I have been plagued with a short waist my whole life, but really? It shouldn't be this bad. You want your underlayers to be comfortable so you forget you have them on, yeah?
Anyway, do you have any recommendations? I am 5' 5", skinny (can't believe I'm typing that), and my waist is so short that there's only about 1.5 inches between my hip bone and the bottom of my ribcage. Ha!
Help me if you can . . . please!! : )
So What Happened?™
I bit the bullet and tried some on at Dick's. The Under Armour ones are fantastic, but couldn't spend $50 on pants no one will see. I ended up getting some Champion ones for half the price. They fit well. Hooray!!

I don't do underlayers unless we're sledding, etc. But my mom loves cuddle duds. Not sure where you can get them though. Sorry.

I like cuddle duds when I wear long underwear. I'm maybe half an inch shorter but much heavier and the length on an XL is good for me. I have a long waist so I tend to have the opposite problem (too many things are low rise--yuck). You could roll the waistband down and then sew it so it stays.

Much to my husband's amusement I don't use underlayers. He thinks it is funny that I will cry about how cold I am but not do a thing to prevent it while he is layered. In my defense the pair he got went up to my pits as well and I am tall. :p
My daughter used to use under armor and they seemed to fit well. Have you tried them?

I know what you mean. The ones I have on right now are the same. I think they expect you to wear warm socks with the thermals so they make them shorter for the socks to fit over easily.
I even got some talls thinking they would be longer in the leg but they just came up to my shoulder/collar bone area...very funny looking to be sure.
