Ideas on How to Tell Dad

Hello everyone,

My husband and I are planning to expand our family this year. While we were trying to get pregnant with our son I had fun thinking of a great way to tell my husband (we had been trying for a year) that he was going to be a daddy. I’m a bit of a planner and bought puzzles from Starbucks this last Valentines Day in anticipation of using 1 or all 3 of these to share the news with my husband, when we become pregnant again. They are small puzzles and you can write on them with an invisible marker and then the recipient of the puzzles color over it the reveal the message. I feel I’m being creative with the puzzles, however I have no idea what to put on them. We are not pregnant yet, but I hope May is the month. I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas…I guess my mommy brain has taken a hold on me, because I can not think of anything.

Thank you so much!

That is adorable. I couldn't do it though! I'm just like Allison - at 5:45am, right after the test said positive, I went back to the bedroom and woke my husband who was dead asleep, and it went like this:

Me: We're pregnant!
Him: You're pregnant?
Me: We're pregnant!
Him: You're pregnant?
Me: We're pregnant!
Him: You're pregnant!

He doesn't wake up all that quickly :) I think it's super that you're trying to find some special and loving way to share the news with your beloved. You have more self-control than I do, that's for sure!

That is such a cute idea. Personally I was so excited that I ran into our bedroom screaming. Poor guy was still sleeping, it was 6am. ;-)

you could try listing all of your names along with a "?" for the baby. Or you could write "...and baby makes four"

Have fun with it and happy concieving.

When I became pregnant with my second, I took a picture of our little girl, and wrote the words, "I'm going to be a big sister", in a bubble (like in the cartoons), and pasted it coming out of her mouth. Then, I framed the picture and wrapped it up and had our daughter give it to daddy. He loved it, and it was very cute. We still have the framed picture on the wall. Best of luck.

Elizabeth,
What if you took some magazine pictures and make like a movie theme.......or draw them yourself.....and then say
"coming soon to a theatre near you........the life of a
baby", or honey, you don't have to listen to me pms for the next 9 months. That one will probably take longer for him to get.

You could wait until the month of June (if you are pregnant) and say "Happy Father's Day".

When i fgound out I was pregnant with my daughtyer I made my son a t-shirt that said something like "Coming Spring 2008 - BIG BROTHER TO BE". I can't rememebr the exact wording but it was something like that/ I put it on him and he walked in the house wearing it. It took dad a little while, but he finally read it@!
