Ideas on a Bridal Shower Gift for Someone Who Has Everything!

I am going to a co-workers bridal shower this weekend, and need some gift ideas. I would like to keep it around $25 or so. She and her fiancé have had their own house for the past 5 years, so they have everything they pretty much need. Their registry is also very picked over because they only registered for about 30 things. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks!!

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone! I ended up getting a gift card to her nail salon. Funny story - when she opened the gift at the shower, she said "you must have JUST missed me!" Turns out she as there getting her nails done about 10 minutes before I showed up!

Are you on pinterest? I saw an idea and loved it for a wedding gift. You take a clear glass Christmas ball. Take their invitation and cut it in strips so you can read the details. Then you wrap the strip around a pencil so it's a coil and put them in Christmas ornament with glitter ribbon etc. This would cost you next to nothing, is personalized and then I would give a gift card to somewhere.

I have given the Wine Chillers, the Door mats, the linens, some of the plaques.. Always a hit.

Board games are always a good thing...makes for memories with the couple. Or another thing is to get like a Mastercard or Visa gift card that they can use toward their wedding expenses.

I would say either a giftcard to anywhere from Target to Starbucks or a bottle of wine/Champagne. For 25 dollars you can get a decent bottle of both red and white if you aren't sure.

Don't give anything to personal or sexy, please. And I personally hate all that "gifty" stuff. Give her something you know she will use or will not be embarrassed to regift.

Can you go in on a gift certificate to bedandbreakfast.com with a couple of your coworkers who are also going (if there are any others)? I got this a shower gift from work friends and loved it.

I thought a bridal shower was just for the bride? Am I wrong? If it's just for her than I would get her something "slinky". Use your imagination. :)

How about a cookbook? No matter how long they have lived together I will bet she (or he) could always use another one of those!

I personally love The Essential New York Times Cook Book by Amanda Hesser. This is a compilation of all the best recipes featured in the NY Times. And it's not just recipes, it has a brief history or story about each recipe and why she chose it for the book, plus lots of handy conversions and substitutions.

We had someone nicely frame our wedding invitation and loved it. Another friend quilted a cover for a photo album that we later used to put all of our pictures in from the wedding, bridal shower and rehersal dinner.
Try thinking along the lines of personalized instead of generic.

If you know who her photographer is you can "donate" to the bill. Same with flowers, D.J. etc. $25 may not seem like alot, but it is. Unless you also plan on taking a wedding gift or card to the wedding. Otherwise, try to think more personal. If it's her shower maybe think scents that she loves, make a nice basket of warm slippers, candl.es.,. .eye .mask etc. If you go to the right stores .you. can absolutely do that for $25!

His and her Cheese Head Hats? :) Oh, right, everything.

I'm wondering why they are having a shower if they haven't registered enough items to cover the folks coming to the shower. Could you ask the person who is hosting the party for suggestions? Are you to attend the wedding, too? Therefore, will you be needing to purchase another gift later? What then?

I have purchased for myself and many others a nice basket at Whole Foods that is beautifully made and of which the proceeds go to those making the baskets, although they were in the $40-50 range.

Whatever you select, pick something you would be glad to receive yourself for the home. Ono has some great gadgets, or even go to Williams Sonoma or Crate and Barrel and find the best $25 gadget you can--something most people would NEVER spend that amount on for a gadget, but because it costs that much, it is an incredible addition to the kitchen.

That or a Kosir's Rafting on the Peshtigo River T-shirt. Have fun!

If you've gotten a wedding invite already, have it framed nicely for display in their home.

Nice picture frame, alcohol, underwear or GC from Fredrick's or VS or something, sexy mules with feathered toes (Fredrick's).

My cousin got me a sexy maid's costume and we've gotten use out of that. I think some people were surprised, but I loved it!

Wait. Co-worker. Alcohol or frame. Nothing personalized so she can return it if she wants.

Wow! You've gotten some GREAT suggestions! I would agree that for the shower, a gift certificate for a pedicure, manicure, massage would be greatly appreciated by her, especially with the stress of planning the wedding. For the wedding gift, I usually avoid the registries, simply because it's less of a hassle for me to take the invitation to be framed (if it's not of an abnormal size/shape, this can be done fairly inexpensively with a matte and frame from Target, etc.); or lately, I've been finding someone to go in on a personalized wedding crock from a local pottery company, which usually runs about $75.

I always buy a "bucket buddy" tool organizer @ Menards or Lowes and put tools to 'keep the flame alive'...massage oil, condoms, handcuffs, silk boxers and nightie etc...It's kinda wild but loads of fun as she looks through it!

How about a nice photo album? That is something that they can use anytime. Or I also like to give a nice crystal picture frame.
