Ideas for Baby Shower Games?

Hi you wonderful mamapedia moms! I'm thorwing a surprise baby shower and have one activity so far, most moms know each other that are coming so my one game is also an icebreaker type. I need a couple more ideas.
Something inexpensive and for around 16 moms to play? Thanks SOOO much!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

So the shower is this Saturday and thanks for all the fun ideas. The shower is about 2 hours long and women like to talk anyways so I have a game/icebreaker planned and two games and am using some suggestions as backups. THANKS!

At my baby shower they took preemie diapers and candy bars such as milky way, snickers, hershey bar, etc. They melted a chocolate bar in each diaper using a microwave, I think there were 8 or 10 different chocolate bars, then we had to guess what kind of bar was in each diaper. It grossed me out at first but when I looked around the room and saw a dozen women holding these chocolate filled diapers close to their faces I got a good laugh. It was pretty entertaining.

you can do the one where everyone wears a paci and anyone who says baby has to give it up to the person who busted them

baby shower madlibs on line - those are fun

have everyone cut a piece of yarn or ribbon about the size they think it will take to go around the mother and the one closest gets a prize

take the names off the baby food jars and let people guess what it is

take a tray full of baby items and cover it with a cloth - take the cloth off for 15 seconds - then recover - and then have everyone write down what they can remember seeing and the closest one gets a prize

A baby shower I went to recently played these games:
1. Name the Baby.- Come up with as many names as you can using the parents full names (they used the mom's maiden name to give more letters) This works best if you know the baby's gender but would even work if you don't. The person with the most names wins.
2. How Big- using a roll of toilet paper we had to guess how many sheets would be needed to fit around the mom's belly. The lady with the correct guess wins.
3. Clothes Pin Game- Everyone gets a clothes pin and wears it on their shirt. If at anytime you cross your legs someone can steal your clothes pin. The person with the most at the end of the shower gets a prize.
4. Present Bingo- Using a standard size bingo board write down any items you think the mom will get as presents. Fill up all the spaces. The first person to get a bingo or cover their board wins.

Have Fun!

Didn't read all the answers, but the most fun I had at any babyshower I've been to (and I've been to about 10, I guess) was when we played Catch Phrase at my SIL's shower for her second baby. We all had a blast, and afterwards we thought it was a great idea for future showers.

At my shower(s) my mom gave everyone some yarn & had them estimate how big my belly is (the circumference). They all cut the amount of yarn they thought would perfectly fit around my belly. I didn't mind it...it was kind of funny. If the mom to be is self-conscious of her belly size, though, this is not the game for her!

Just a couple suggestions.
~> Get her a nice "Visitor Book" for baby's life, starting with the shower. She can take it to the hospital, the first (and other) birthday party, the baptism, etc.
~> Limit your games to one or two.
~> Don't do anything degrating. The gal that did my shower tried to have a game where you drank out of a baby bottle. Ummmmm..... NO!!
~> Leave enough time for gift opening. Make sure you write down everything from everyone!

I like the "Smell the Diaper" game. Get a variety of obscure candy bars and break them up well. Some are way harder to guess than others.

You can also have everyone take some toilet paper, not telling them why. The guests will think it is for guessing belly circumference, but it is for a different game. For every square, you have to tell something either about yourself (icebreaker) or something nice about the mama (ego boost).

***EDIT*** I have been to showers where the prize for winning games was something small for the winner, and other showers where the prizes were for the mother-to-be. It was cute....the winner of the game would open her 'gift' and it was (for example) a package of diapers or wipes. Handing them to the mama, she coyly says: "Well, gee. I don't need these....Why don't you take them. You will need them!" This is a different, creative way for the host to 'give' her gifts.

One of the funnest games you can play during the baby shower. You make baby necklaces ( we used yarn with a little pacifier at the end) You give everyone who arrives one of them. Then you let everyone know they are not allowed to say the word baby the whole time they are there. If anyone says the word 'baby' then the person who catches them saying it takes that person who said its necklace. Then the person with the most necklaces at the end of the baby shower wins a gift.

Hi! I just helped throw a shower for a dear friend of mine and had great luck typing baby shower games into google- I literally clicked on the first result and found a list of lots of great games. I got fun prizes at Nordstrom Rack and TJ Max (like little lip gloss kits, nail polish samplers).
Hope it's a great party!
