Hi Mamas,

Does anyone have any suggestions for a location to host a 2nd B- Day party for a little girl? I live in New Tampa as do most of our frinds so I would like to do it somewhere off Bruce B Downs. I looked in to Kidz Club on Amberly Drive but its like $175 for 2 hours not even including the balloons, drinks or pizza. I want my daughter to feel celebrated as she has been to several of her friends partys but cant imagine 8 two year olds & thier parents running around our house. Her B- day is in January so Im not sure if it may be too cold to plan something outside at a park/playground?

Any ideas Mamas?

Thank You!

So What Happened?

Thank you everyone for your ideas. We decided to bite the bullet & prepare our house for a 2 year old tornodo & have invited 6 of my daughters buddies to come & celebrate....ill have to rearrange the furniture a bit but it will be easier to set up & clean up at my own place. Will save some money to make a donation to WWF or somthing like that as we are having a jungle/wild animal theme party. tahnks agian Mamas. & Happy Holidays!

please check with your hillsboro county parks, they rent a good sized room for these occassions, and weather permiting the is the outside for the kids to run and play. there are bath rooms, tables and chairs. now there is i believe a 5 hour minimum, and its $50.00 per hour. it worked out great for my grand daughters party. good luck. merry christmas. Call the Temple Terrace Recreation Complex on Whiteway. I think it is around 125.00 for a gymnastics party?? 1 hour in the gymnastics room and 1 hour in the party room. You still have to supply food, etc...but they are pretty helpful. If you can't find the phone number shoot me a note.

McDonalds puts on a pretty nice party. At least in Plant City they do if you talk to them in advance. They mark off an area, put up balloons, and have special toys, and they will get a Birthday cake or you can.
Another idea is if you attend Church. The Church will normally let you have a party there free of charge as long as you clean up after it.
My friend used to do Birthday parties on his farm with pony rides, petting zoo, etc....
Type in google-Birthday Parties for 2 year olds and the area you want. Lots of great ideas should come up.

How about a suggustion from an old fashioned Nana(actually I'm not that old). Make the celebrations a small one at your home, with simple old fashioned things like party hats, latex free ballons, ect. 2 yr olds have the attention span of 3-5 minutes, so provide an opportunity to play, visit with their mothers, take lots of pitures, laugh and hold on to this time, it really does go by so fast, and take your $175.00 and send it to a shelter or home for children, you will feel great and although your child doesn't understand yet, set an example that it is not about the presents but the friends, give birthday gifts to less fortunate in your daughters name. Have a great party.
Alittle about me: Mom to 3 wonderful adult children, Nana to 6 grands and hopefully more, was a SAHM for all my childrens growing, now a hospice nurse
