Ideas for 1Yr. Birthday

Hello Ladies

My daughter will be turning one in 2 wks. I also have a three year old daughter. So she does not need any books or clothing. My 3 yr. old does not like to share any of "HER" toys. I would like to get her a nice baby doll or something to keep her entertained. Any suggestions on what baby to buy her? Oh, I am not into any collectibles. Please help! Thank you so much.

What can I do next?

I have 2 boys, but 4 home day care little girls. Their favorite doll we own by far is the Fisher Price Little Mommy doll. I have to admit I love it too! :) That is the doll who's name (as the kid's collectively decided) is the same as the youngest in the house...the one they take care of while I take care of the real baby. It's an EXCELLENT doll for the price. If I had my own little girl and was buying a special doll for her, it would have to be the Fisher Price Little Mommy one, American Girl's Bitty Baby, or the water baby as other's have mentioned. I'm not as big a fan personally of the cabbage patch ones, zapf brand ones, or the ones that do all those different things as they all tend to be stiffer.

My daughter also loved her water baby!!!!It's just the right size and when you fill her with water(like a rubber water bottle) she is a nice weight. My daughter found a second one at a garage sale and she carried them both everywhere, they were her babies (Named "Heavy Baby" & "Blossom"). When her brother was born she got him a boy one and 9 yrs later they both still love their dolls. Best wishes! ( I got mine at Meijer but they have them at Toys R Us)

Hi N.!
This past Christmas, I bought my then 1 year old, a "Preemie Cabbage Patch" doll. At first she really was not into it, but a couple weeks later she ended up loving her! This doll is perfect for younger girls because it's small and easily washable in the machine. Hope this helps!

My daughter's favorite baby doll is from The Chalkboard. It is made by Correlle and doesn't contain phlatates and is machine washable. I love it too! It's the one for 12 months and up. They have others by the same brand but they can't all be washed. Good luck!

Buy her a special "mommy doll" with a baby doll. Maybe your daughter will learn how to share and "do" for others. You can teach her. Name one doll MOMMY and the other BABY. Good luck mom.

My daughter is big into dolls. She loves the water babies that are out everywhere. And some she totes around everywhere are tiny and cost me three dollars at Target. She has two and they are her twins :) She also loves playing with the highchair, carseat and strollers for her babies. Hope you find something you like because at one she won't care!
