We have bought personalized party favors from www.twojunebugs.com for our daughter's 1 and 2nd birthday party. They will personalize and put a picture on it and they are adorable. We had the large candy bar and mini candy bar wrappers, the mini bubble wraps and mini playdoh and they are so cute!! When you figure out the prices and buy the playdoh, bubbles at the dollar store and then just put the wrappers on they turn out adorable! They will also do whatever you want, just email them. You can ask for different print/themes, colors, or add stuff. Goodluck!

I got my daughter's second birthday pary favors from a store on eBay called Party Patch. If you go onto eBay and go under their Specialty Sites and then click eBay Stores and type in Party Patch, you can see all that they offer. They sell party favors, but if you click under the "Assembled Favors" they put together the cutest favors for you from $1.00 - 5.00 a piece. You get to pick out whatever you want to put in the bag (depending on the price range you choose) and then they seal the bag with the favors inside and put a cardboard tag at the top with your child's name and birthday and some other cute saying that goes with the theme. You can see the pictures on the website for yourself to see how cute they are. For each price range, they have different favors that you can choose to put in the bags. They were a HUGE hit and everyone wanted to know where I got them. And they didn't cost that much either ~ I got the $3.00 ones and I think shipping was around $5.00 for 12 of them. :-)

I bought my son's party things here. They are great and have very fast shipping. I typed in mermaid and a few things in your price range showed up.

Hi J.,

Try Oriental Trading site. I was very happy with this site and it seemed very cheap compared to other places. This is what I found there but there are other options too:

The Dollar Tree is great. They have tons of "summer" toys right now. A sandpail with a mermaid printout that says your "X's 6th Birthday Party 6/23/06" is a goodie bag idea i just saw. Good luck!

Try www.birthdaypartyideas.com. Go to "kid parties" and select "mermaid party". You'll get tons of ideas, not only favors, but decorations, games, food etc., etc., etc.

I went to Party City or Factory Card Outlet or one of those places and got their 8 packs of coloring books, crayons, larger bouncy balls, kazoos, etc. and all the kids loved them. It was super cheap and a bag full of goodies. The kazoos were the biggest hit. A friend did the same thing for her daughter's 2nd b-day and used some of the same things, but also the sunglasses they have in pkgs (again of 8, I think) and other more summery things. Again, huge hit.

I think a unique inexpensive favor would be a goldfish.
They are very cheap and I think it would be perfect with the mermaid theme. I am not sure how many moms would agree with me but I would think it was pretty cool if my child came home with a favor like that. Plus they can live in anything pretty much. You could even go to the craft store and buy small bowls for like $1.99 a piece and the fish coudl reside in that.

I like the idea someone gave of bubbles but then you can also give goldfish crackers too.

You could buy Ariel paperback books for $2.50 each, stickers, and a package of goldfish or animal crackers. Buy one big package of stickers and give each child one sheet. You can also print mermaid or Ariel coloring sheets off the Internet (if you google mermaid coloring sheets I'm sure you'd find a ton) and copy them. Have fun!

Of course you can just do the book. We did this at my son's Thomas party, and the kids were all thrilled with their favors. Then you don't even have to buy a bag.

Hi J. - I just had a Little Mermaid party for my daighter in April. Ebay was my savior! HA! Just type in Little Mermaid in the subject & you wouldn't believe what pops up. I had personalized treat bags for she class & for her kids party, I found re-useable Ariel sticker books. I think I got 10 for $9.99. Good luck & I hope I was a little help.

J.,

Try the dollar store chain called Dollar Tree. They have a lot of stuff there related to water/summer fun. They also have books, toys and craft items. Unlike some dollar stores, nothing is more than a dollar. They even have books on CD and musical CDs that I have bought for kids. So you could buy 2 or 3 items for each child, and it could possibly look like you spent well over 5 dollars.
Have fun!

Try Party City, they have themed party stuff there and usually something small as little gifts. Like whistles etc. My Aunt stil gives candy in a bag to all the kids at her parties. (The fun thing is I can remember being one of those kids getting the bag)
But kids like almost everything if they think it's a surprise.
