I No How to Spell I Sware!

I know how to spell I swear! Goodness, I was just reading through some things and realized I need to start proofreading. Not really sure where my mind is when I type stuff, but its bad! Im not going to go back and correct everything, but I promise I will start proofreading! Can you spell? Ok, gotta get out of the house now!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Proofreading is one word right?? LOL!!

LOL! I stress so much about my spelling and grammar on public websites I actually avoid posting things on facebook or delete them after posting b/c I notice an error! When I am composing something long for this site I will type it out on a word processing program and then cut and paste...

LOL ~ that happens to me all the time. I usually catch it AFTER I hit post and go back in and fix it really quick hoping no one saw it yet! I don't know why but sometimes I know that I typed a letter but it gets skipped?? Not sure why.

You are not the only one, don't let it bother you.

OMG, I'm so neurotic that usually if I see it after I've posted it I will go in and correct it! LOL!

I am not a good speller. Thank goodness for spell check. I'd be LOST without it.

I've heard spelling and sense of direction are genetic and, while that might not be true, it works for me. My mother and sister are beautiful spellers AND they know their way around a city within an hour. They just GET it. My pops and I are atrocious spellers. Simply AWFUL. AND I still get lost in the town I've lived For. Ten. Years. My brain doesn't hold onto that information no matter how I TRY.

Oh well. I have other strengths. ;-)

ETA: I use google chrome as a browser, and spell check is included in all my internet endeavors...so I DO have a spell check when using mamapedia (although I still make mistakes).

:) me too. I am at work and just tap out an answer with the minute in between phone calls. No time to proofread and.....I'm ruined by spell check. It's made me lazy. I also got into some very bad typing habits when my left arm was broken. So, letters are transposed ALOT and I had gotten out of the habit of capitalizing. Very hard to capitalize with a broken arm. sorry yall. I promise im not an idiot.

I had awful (well still do) add and dyslexia and so my learning has been uber slow. So I admit I do make plenty of mistakes but I try not to. . . plus I have firefox so it has spell check :D

***Plus teachers who just ignored me and wouldn't really care. They would often get frustrated with me. YAY for public schools!! Oh and my parents couldn't care less about my learning. When I was 7 my parents divorced then my mom immediately got remarried so she was in the honeymoon stage during my critical learning time. YAY!

I have the Google toolbar with a spell check button but things still can get messed up. Especially like now when I'm typing with a 2 year old trying to climb on me throwing a tantrum because I told her she couldn't have her brothers drink cup LOL
I'm actually a pretty good speller but it doesn't always show ;)
