Well, shoot, I might as well throw my two cents in...

I'm a Pampered Chef consultant...and we have a VERY generous Bridal Registry...annnnd, we have gift certificates...so, whether or not she likes to cook, great quality kitchen products are never a bad idea. :)

Ok, I'm thinking honeymoon. How about a pair of "glass slippers". Wasn't that Cinderella? It's been awhile since I've read the story. But you could get her a pair of fancy shoes that look like glass slippers for a night on the town, or the bedroom. She might just feel like a princess. Some of the other ideas about Disney stock and the Disney store are great too. Maybe a little bit of both. Have fun!

I do not know how crafty you are but I am making a quilt(no I am not a professional, just self taught) for my sister in law who is getting married in June. She loves The Little Mermaid. They like to snuggle and watch movies. So this will not be a fancy quilt, it is a useful quilt. I found Little Mermaid material on ebay and I am also adding Star Wars material for him and white squares that will have family member's personal messages. Another idea is a painting if they like art work. You can even get your sister painted as Cinderella and her husband to be as the Prince. Good luck on your hunt.

They sell Disney Tree toppers at the Disney store. Cinderella ones. You can get a frame, cinderella themed, dreams do come true...something like that and put their wedding invitation in it. If you get a shadow box, put the invitation in it, get scrapbooking words like...dreams do come true or other Cinderella themed wording, arrange that in the frame with the invitation and actual flowers from her bouquet and make sure to get his boutonniere if not all the mens. Arrange them around the invitation with a piece of ribbon or other wedding day momento's. My mom did that for me and it's my most cherished wedding possession.

HI C.,
I have to agree with Delores, the wedding gift should be for the couple, not just your sister. Something that's personalized is a sweet idea, mentioning your love for both your sister and her new husband. A great site for personalized wedding ideas is: www.personalizationmall.com.
Hope you'll be able to find something there!

Hi C.. I'm not sure if you have one of these, but we have a Disney store in our mall. It sells all kinds of great stuff. Maybe you could look there. They might not be so much money. Also, if you are really stripped for cash, why don't you make her a great momento? You could buy a really fancy photo or scrap album and paste in all kinds of pics of her and you and you guys together. You can add ribbons around the edges, glue on some glitter, stuff like that. Or make her a shadow box. Memories are usually a great gift and make the person recieving the gifts forget that we're cheap!! lol. I hope this helps you. Good Luck and Best Wishes, T.

I also would reccommend the Disney store. I bought my monther in law Disney princess snow globe for Christmas & she loved it! I think they have one that is just Cinderella. They can be pricy- $70 or so, but they all go on sale occassionally for $40.

Good luck!

Hi C.
I found the best wedding presents that I recieved were the thoughtful personal ones. How about getting a personalized photo album made through shutterfly or you can make it yourself. You can either pick cinderella theme or put scarpbboking stickers & cut outs of cinderalla & put in pictures of you & your sister from the time you were little to current. Just a thought

Since she is about to get married she is going to have to scrapbook it all. Creative Memories has a collection of Disney themed photo albums. You could find a cinderella themed creative memory wedding album, and buy her the scrapbooking material to go with it.

Hi! Is she having a Cinderalla themed wedding? Maybe you could pitch in for some of the Cinderalla stuff? What about buying her a Cinderella cake topper? What about getting her some Cinderella shows for her dress? I think maybe getting her something she needs for the actual wedding would be nice, as most people preparing for a wedding can actually use the help!

Hope that helps!

L. :-)

Oh, and one more thing, if you are handy with a computer, maybe you can make her a photo slideshow!!! One when they were little, til now! Or ask someone who is computer savy to do it for you! Like I said, see what they haven't gotten for the wedding, and maybe that could be your gift for them!!! Another example: make the invites, get the flowers/rice to throw, bubbles...the list goes on!!! We had family do a lot for us...they paid for the dj, another family member made the invites from scratch! Another paid for my shoes, tiara...etc.

Cheers!

My only thought on your gift idea is that you are singleing her out....You are not thinking of a gift for the both of them. Meaning her and her husband to be. I would rethink the gift. OR if your getting them a together gift then yes you can get her something on the side for her. Why not a snow globe with ciderella....look at the disney website to find it....but if this gift is for them at their wedding then i would pick something off their registry.

Hi C.,

I like the Scrapbook idea. You could start it with the 2 of you growing up together up to her and her fiance. Here is a link to a Cinderella Scrapbook through DisneyShopping.com. Good luck.

Hi C.,

I love to do this stuff!! I always get great responses when I put together a theme basket. For your sister, all things Cinderella...like a pretty blown glass shoe (Walgreens); maybe check out the used book stores for a children's copy of the story, and then put a pic of you and your sister as children on the inside cover; a cute tiara would be fun (Walmart 8.00); oh, at Christmas, at Walgreens they also have crystal Cinderella carriage (ask the manager if they have any in the back) and if you can't find a crystal one, plop a real (or good fake) pumpkin-the small ones-in; a pretty, girlie clock set 5 minutes to 12:00; if you can sew you could make a minature dress of rags and then a beautiful one with satin and lace; a cute little wand; a nice girlie frame for her to put her prince in (stores like Marshalls and Ross have great bargains in the housewares dept. I'd just do it all girlie and princess like with lots of Tule to line the basket (make it almost full of tule and then gather up the rest and tie with a beautiful ribbon. Hope this helps and you create something that your sister will cherish!

Good Luck!
V.

EBay has a very pretty necklace- "LBB Boutique Princess CINDERELLA Crystal CHARM Necklace" with a buy it now price of about $27.50 including shipping. You could give this to her as a token gift, and then choose something from their registry for both of them together. There's also a guest book with a Cinderella Carriage frame on the front, if their using a Cinderella theme. One more idea that may be a nice compromise between Purely Cinderella, but not part of the registry either- Get a Cinderella themed frame, and but cash in it. I frame cash gifts ALL the time. And most newly weds could really use the extra money.

Also, if they aren't already been living on there own, here's a GREAT house warming party idea. Send a Recipe card out with the invitations. Have the guests bring their favorite recipe written on the card, something they'd forgot they'd need when they got their first place (like toilet paper, a plunger, cooking spray...) and either a board game (if your sis and her fiancé are into them) or a framed picture of each guests’ family. You get SOOOOO many house wares at the bridal shower and for the wedding, but every woman needs a collection of taste test recipes, and the forgotten basics, and all homes feel warmer (hence House-Warming) with game to play and pictures to see.

Hope this helps! –Janell-
