I just did a party for my 8 yr old at Hoyt's Movie Theater in Linthicum. Took 10 other girls to watch Bolt. Very easy, and much cheaper than Muvico (where you have to have a minimum of 15 kids at $20 a kid, plus $100 room rental fee!) Hoyts was clean, organized, and VERY low traffic ... felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Can bring your own food, cake, etc
Another idea ... last year I did a KidzArt party ... they'll do an art project, you pick location, etc. I can tell you more and give you contact info if interested. ____@____.com

For my girl's 6th birthday, we are going to do a charity theme. Instead of presents for her, we are going to pick a cause for her guests to support if they wish. We will do a party too, haven't figured that part out yet! I love birthdays!

Hello is your daughter a little diva? If so you can get her and a couple more little divas and go get a spa treatment. There are a few children spas google). There is one in Crofton. She will be happy and fun will be had by all even you Mom. Of course the other Moms can go and get pampered as well. They are great and not hard on your pocketbook. :-) Inquire if you think she would like that.

I second Shadowland. It's a lot of fun and there are a bunch of packages you can look at, from just the games to them providing pizza.

Supreme Sports Club has roller skating, Jump Zone, Pump It Up or Airemania for bounce houses- a smaller party costs much less. Columbia Swim Center should be opening back up sometime in January, you could do a SplashDown waterslide party, or if you belong to Lifetime, you could do one there.
Columbia Ice Rink, Laser Tag at Shadowland, The Columbia Art Center through CA has art parties, Libby Lou at the mall, Build A Bear at the mall, Take them to a movie, I think Muvico still does a preparty then a movie.
Some of the gymnastics clubs like Top Flight will do parties, So will the drama places like Drama Learning Center, Sometimes Karate places will, too.
Or you could rent a room at one of the village centers, throw your own party with food and then do "carnival" type games.
Good luck and have fun!
