I Need Help with My Diaper Party!

Hi Mamas, this is my second child and I decided to have a diaper party instead of a baby shower. I have everything I need for my second little girl, so I thought diapers as gifts would be better. My problem is that finding a diaper party invitation is impossible, so I need to make my own. I'm having a hard time finding the right words to suggest bringing all different sizes of diapers and being tactful about it. I will also be having a raffle at the end of the party. How do I word the invite when it comes to bringing diapers?
Thanks so much!!!!

What can I do next?

Make your own diaper invitation.

Cut out triangles from pink or blue construction paper. Or cute a piece of paper into a square, fold it in half to make a triangle. Write the diaper's party invitation wording on one side of the triangle and fold the bottom corner up and then the sides to create a diaper.

Then add a baby diaper pin, which you can purchase at any baby store, to hold the triangles.

You can invite each guest to bring a package of disposable diapers to the diaper's party. Don't forget to assign a diaper size for each guest on the baby shower invitation.

Here is a diaper party invitation verse you can use.

"To add a little extra glee
and help the parents-to-be,
Please bring a little extra
from the heart.
An unwrapped pack of diapers ( ___ size),
To give them a good start!"

or here is another sample, you can change the names to your own:

The changing table and diaper bag have something that they share,

When you reach inside of each - a diaper should be there!

Since Mary and Joe are parents-to-be and will be doing alot of "changes",

Please join us as we shower them with diapers - in all of the size ranges!

I really like the wording on Aleisha's suggestion but try to remember that you shouldn't "force" them to bring diapers...I have three boys and someone insisted on throwing a shower for the third boy even though I said that I didn't need it and even though when people would ask I would say that I say that I needed diapers and formula (since I have lactation problems) most brought clothing. It would have helped more of course with our tight budget to have just gotten diapers but remember that they should be able to choose what they'd like to spoil you with and if they don't bring diapers still smile sweetly and say thank you! :) Good luck!

This is a hard one, but then again, I'm not very creative. Why don't you word it like "would gratefully accept diapers and essentials" or "Help me get ready for diaper duty", something like that. Maybe if you add the essentials part, people will have the opportunity to be a L. more creative with their gift, like making a basket with the diapers along with creams, lotions, etc. Good luck, sounds like fun.

I love Aleisha I.'s wording!! Perfect!
I've seen a invitation that was a diaper! I wonder if they just don't make it anymore? It was sent to me and it was so cute that I saved it. I, of course, can't find it, right now! LOL!
I just did a search on Yahoo for "diaper shaped invitation" and saw a bunch of C U T E invitations. Some that looked easy enough to replicate and some that were costly, but if you have the cash, worth it!
In the category of easy to replicate, I pick:
http://www.babyshower4u.com/index.php?id=1492&p=produ...
or
http://www.babyshower4u.com/index.php?id=1344&p=produ...
and for costly I'd say there might have been too many cute ones to have to pick just one, but the page I was looking at was:
http://www.thefind.com/gifts/info-diaper-baby-shower-invi...
and there were many consecutive pages.

Congrats on your new baby!

Diaper parties I have been to have always been VERY informal. Someone gets a keg and you get free beer in exchange for diapers. We never worried about size, because stores like Walmart will let you exchange them for the next size if need be, but letting someone know on an invite "any and all diapers in every size are needed" sounds fine I think.
