Fels Naptha laundry bar. Wet the fabric, rub the soap in. Wash. It's basically grease, so you need something to cut the grease. Maybe try handwashing using Dawn dishsoap if that doesn't work (don't put Dawn in your washer).

wash it with dawn dish soap in the sink, rinse well and toss in the wash with tide, grated fels naptha, borax and washing soda. everything should come out clean. (i use this method for getting grease outta dh's clothing after he works on the boat motors or truck. works like a charm)

I agree with dawn, and it has to be dawn. I've tried with others, but I've only had success with dawn. Also, on Pinterest, there is a recipe for a dawn, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide solution. I used this to get old yellow stains out of baby clothes. That may work on the stain as well.

I can get just about any stain out of clothing with Zote, the bar laundry soap. It take a little work, but most everything comes out. The only thing that it hasn't worked on so far is printer ink (jet) out of my white shorts. I sat in the ink.

I also suggest using Dawn in the sink to do hand wash and then do a regular load with an extra rinse. It is really good at getting out grease.

My husband has a 57 Ford that he works on and he always seems to wear a white t-shirt when he works on it.

A friend of mine dealt with this just last week - her son left it in a pocket, and it went through the washer and dryer. I guess getting it off of the dryer walls was terrible.

Anyway, I would try Greased Lightening. It says it's for surfaces, but I've used it as a pretreatment for grease stains on clothes before and it worked well. You may have to spray items one at a time, and wash in small loads so you don't get too many bubbles in the washer.

I'll also ask my friend - I will see her at baseball practice tonight, unless we get rained out. I'll update if she has any advice for you.
