Ok, so here is the deal. I am in need of a mommy's day out for a group of my girlfriends and I to enjoy. Since we are all hard working women, either at home or out of the home, and we are looking for an afordable way to pamper ourselves.

I was really thinking that we could all go get messages or facials or something special and relaxing like that, but all that I have found is REALLY expencive! Does any one know any where in the fort worth/crowley/burleson area where we can go and get pampered afordably?? Have any ideas of how to pamper our selves and still save money??

Thank you in advance for all of your help!

What can I do next?

You might want to try one of the beauty schools. Ogle in Arlington has a pretty extensive spa menu for reasonable rates. http://www.ogleschool.com/images/stories/pdf/serviceguide.... You can get a facial, back facial, mani and pedi for the cost of one facial at a big salon.

I feel your pain! With work and kids-- there's never any time for ME!!! Well, I manage Dermatology Southwest Aesthetic Center at Huguley in the Doctors surgery center (Dr Chakers office). We have an awesome aesthetician named Sharla who does a fabulous facial!! Right now we are featuring our Green tea and Skin brightening facials for 30% off! It's about 30 minutes and includes steam, exfoliation, facial massage--the works. Call if your interested-###-###-#### extension 5- and tell me you're from mamasource- I'll up it to 40% off (making it about $50.00)! We don't advertise a lot so I really depend on word of mouth and networking sites like this!

I know a girl who will do professional massage in your home for $45-50 per hour. You could send the kids somewhere and host a relaxing party at your house. My friends and I considered getting a room at an embassy suites where you could hang out and relax in one room and have massaages in the other. If you would like her info, I can forward it to you.

Hi S.! I have a friend/client who is a massage therapist in Burleson. She worked at 7th Street Spa in Ft. Worth for a number of years and it closed down w/out ANY of the employees knowing until the day of! She is working out of her house for now which is really nice, btw! She has a whole room set up for her business so it's not like you have to lay on her couch! LOL!) Anyway, because of this Spa closing, she is struggling to keep her house/business afloat.I'm pretty positive she would love to do a group thing for you. She is the only VERY experienced therapist I know who also still only charges $50 for a massage. Also, all the spas say 1 hr and it's actually 50min(10 for dressing/undressing) She also finishes off every massage w/hot rocks for no extra $. She also does relaxation facials, inch loss body wraps, sugar and salt scrub body polishing and MOOR mud body masks. Instead of everyone going to a high priced spa together, why not call her and go to her house as a group or better yet; Use 1 of your houses for everyone to come to, she comes to you, and the rest of the group can be relaxing, eating, having some wine in the comfort of your own home! She is VERY good and affordable and who knows...she may give a group rate! Let me know if you want her info! M.

Origins stores will do a free "mini" facial. Not as good as the salon but actually pretty relaxing. You could also do pedicures for a little less. There is a GREAT place at Montgomery Plaza on 7th street called Skyline Nails and Spa. They have the best pedicures in the metroplex and are priced $30-$50. They also provide you with wine or nonalcoholic beverages while you are there.

Go to Ogle, its a beauty school and their rates are very reasonable! They just opened a new facility on Bryant Irvin Rd. next to Rio Mambo (good place to have lunch after your morning at the salon) You can get a deluxe machine facial for around $18. You can call ahead for appts. My friends and I have done this several times and its great. Of course your not going to be treated like royalty but I think they do a great job especially for the price!
