My husband and I are relocating back home to Providence! (from Austin, TX) :) And we need to find really great physicians for our daughter. I'm really only interested in pediatricians that have preemies and former preemies in their practice.
Our daughter was born 11 weeks early, weighed 3 lbs. and spent 56 days in the NICU. We've been through A LOT with her, she's extremely delayed in motor skills and speech and she's been diagnosed with mild C.P. (from a brain injury during her NICU stay)
She's currently under the care of a wonderful pediatrician and pediatric neurologist here in Austin. She's also in ECI for speech and physical therapy.
If anyone can recommend some physicians, give me information about ECI in RI and private speech and physical therapists I would be so thankful. :)
Hi S., I am currently using Providence Pediatrics and they are located on the East Side by Thayer Street, I have twin boys who are 2 1/2 and we love them. My friends son was born a preemie and she uses Waterman Peds, which is also located on the East Side of Providence. I don't know much about Pediatric Neurologists, but I'm sure once you find a good pediatrician they can make a referral!

we take our son to Waterman Pediatrics, Warren Ave, East Providence ###-###-####). he was not a preemie, but i know they have experience with preemies. they are rated as one of the top pedi groups in the state.
My son goes to Dr. Maria Younes she is in Cumberland###-###-#### . He has gone to her for over 13 years. She is a wonderful, very well respected neurologist for children. His peditrician is Dr. Doreen Ciangalini from North Providence Pediatrics ###-###-####
you can call her to see if she is the right pedi for your daughter. You can also contact Famiy Solution Cedar ###-###-#### it is located on Thurbers Ave in Providence. It is an organization that helps families with children with disabilties get the services they need medically, socially and at school.

I would recommend that you go to Hasbro Hospital in R.I. It has a great reputation and is a children's hospital. I actually just remembered that my friend's sister work's there, so I will ask about doctor's who specialize in what you need. It will take a few days, so I will get back as soon as I can.

Funny, I am moving to Austin at the end of the month. Call Dr. Singer ###-###-####-8009. I think he is an amazing doctor. I have a two year old now and Dr. Singer has been her doctor since she was three months old.

I am sorry I cannot help you with your quest, however we are looking for a pediatrician and pediatric neurologist in Austin for a neighbor's child who has torticollis. I would very much appreciate the name of your Austin Docs. Thank you and I hope your baby is doing well.
My son was 5 1/2 weeks premature and in the nicu for about 14 days. He saw a neurologist for the first 2 years of his life. He was great...Dr. Brown at the Neurology Foundation in Providence ###-###-####. He is right next to Hasbro Children's Hospital. Also, my pediatrician is Waterman Pediatrics on Warren Avenue in East Providence ###-###-####. The doctor we use there is Dr. McGookin.
