I am kind of a special case and I moved in from out of town 6 months ago. I just found out I am pregnant and I need a great OB/GYN. My first baby was 4 weeks early and second was 6 weeks early and I had a c-section with him because he was breech. I need an OB who will do a VBAC and who will take my worries about a premature baby seriously. I have been referred to these doctors and I would like to know any feedback from people who have seen any of these doctors. Thanks so much!
Dr. Korostoff
Dr. Kashi
Dr. Han
Dr. Pearson
Dr. Corstoff
Thanks so much for your time! I don't have any first names, sorry :)

What can I do next?

Dr. Ronald Wu, VERY experienced doctor, he has fixed a serious problem on this lady who had = possibly - the same problem as you. He made a little problem I had when I gave birth to seem like nothing.
He's is the Glendale/Los Angeles area, in Southern California.
Look it up, I no longer have his info. He was recommended to me by two different people, and I will gladly recommend him to you.

Drs. Korostoff, Han and Cashie are all in the same office. I LOVE Dr. Korostoff, however, they all deliver exclusively at St. Joseph's and as I have been told, that hospital does not allow for VBACKs. My cousin therefore delivers her babies at Glendale adventist which she was told is the only area hospital which allows them (crazy huh!). She is pregnant with her 4th and will be doing her third VBACK. Her doc is Dr. Lantry, who I hear is very busy but her patients love her. Hope that helps!

I don't know what area of town you live in but Spectrum Women's Health at Good Sam Hospital downtown is amazing. Also, my doula was Carmen at ###-###-####. she is incredible. she turned my baby when i was in back labor and saved me from a C-section. Any dr. at Spectrum is great, Hill, Park, Bohn and on the other side is Dwight. madonna delivered there. not that it matters but for some reason it made me have more confidence because obviously she can go to anyone.

Hello B. ...

Dr. Christopher Pearson delivered my daughter, Morgan, back in 1983 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank. He was marvelous!
Even though I work and teach at Verdugo Hills Hospital, I still get an expectant mom or two in my Lamaze class, from time to time, who has Dr.Pearson as the OB. They're always totally pleased with him.

Hope this helps,
M.

B.,
Have you also considered interviewing midwives who are willing to do a VBAC? You may find more midwives willing, because Dr's have to be with you the entire labor in case of rupture and have an anesthesiologist ready to go. That is expensive for the hospital and time consuming for the doctor, so most Dr's don't do them anymore. C section's take 20 minutes. Your labor could take 12 or more hours! It might be worth consulting with some midwives. I used Leslie Stewart at Home Birth Services on Laurel Canyon in Studio City. Not sure if she does VBAC's, but if not, she may be able to recommend one who does. Congratulations!

I am pregnant now my new OBG is Dr. Pearson in Burbank, I love him! My old OB retired and was I worried about finding someone I would feel comfortable with.... I had a vaginal birth with my first child and I'm hoping for the same so I can't give you an opinion on VBAC's and Dr. Pearson but I can say he is very busy and he is great.... Good luck! Oh and the staff is wonderful, so helpful and attentive they make you feel like you are the most important patient.

Hi B. - Dr Pearson is my doctor and I have to say I LOVE him! He was referred to me by a lot of the OB nurses that work at Providence Saint Joseph's hospital (where I used to work and where Dr Pearson works). Many of them also said he was or would be their pick for having another baby or for OB/GYN surgery.
I find that he is very non-alarmist; he's calm, supportive, funny, knowledgeable and compassionate. He is open to a lot of things many OBs aren't so hip to (e.g accupuncture, doulas, etc etc). I have lost count of how many people I have recommended him to, all of whom love him!
Dr Hans office situation leaves a lot to be desired. She may be a good physician but if you are waiting hours and not having phone calls returned that doesn't really matter. Dr Pearson's office is very efficient and very pleasant to work with :)

Blessings,
A. :)

Dr Pearson in Burbank is suppose to be great he delivered my nephew and my sister liked him alot, I have heard mixed reviews on Dr. Han and she doesnt have a good rating on www.ratemds.com - its a great website to look up doctors. The rest I have never heard of, if you can look into Glendale Adventist they have the best new birthing building with LDR rooms, and the staff is great, I just switched my drs there because we want to try for another baby, and Dr. Selena Lantry has rave reviews from many of my members in my moms group as well as on rate md.com and I know she does do VBAC's.

Good luck.
R.
