I Need a Good Facial Cleanser & Toner.

I know alot of you ladies sell several things and others may use other things.

I used to use the Estee Lauder cleansing cream for years, loved it, but don't have the time/patience to go buy it anymore.

I tried Arbonne, I didn't care for it.

I have weird skin. Always oily T-Zone. One week of the month I get breakouts on my chinline, but other than that the rest of my face I guess is deemed "normal" skin type. I have big pores on my nose and my cheeks are prone to silia (those embedded white things). I know, this description is very flattering LOL.

What I'm looking for is an affordable skin care regimen - ie, a foamy cleaner and possibly a toner.

Please no "pitches" on joining any sales teams, just looking to buy product. :)

Any recommendations?

Thank you!

Hey there!! I have the similar complaints! My T-zone has always been oily and the rest of my face normal to dry. I use to find myself using 2 products daily however I have finally found the perfect fit for ME..
I use Rodan and Fields Dermatologists products..Unblemish for the week that I break out and then AntiAge (I'm 36) the rest of the time. My oiliness has decrease substantially! and the dry cheeks is also much better!

I realize that it can be pricey but we do have a Preferred Customer discount. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to you! and Good Luck finding the right product for YOU!!

Take Care, J.

I've used the Neutrogena line and have had great success, much more than when I was using Clinique and paying out the wazoo. They have a variety of face cleansers and toners/astringent products. You may need to experiment with a few products to find what works best for you, but the costs are affordable so no biggie!

Your description of your skin sounds suspiciously like mine. After switching, I noticed that my T-zone doesn't get as shiny, my pores are less noticeable, and I haven't had a breakout since (fortunately I only had minor breakouts but was very 'oil-prone'). Also, when I touch my face I don't feel the 'slick' feel like I used to. I start with their Oil Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub followed by the Oil Free Acne Wash Creamy Cleanser (they do make a foam version). After cleaning, I use Clear Pore Oil-Eliminating Astringent then moisturize with Oil-Free Moisture with SPF 15. You can check it out at www.neutrogena.com.

It sounds like your skin is a lot like mine and I have found that the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne line works the best for my skin. I use the acne wash scrub and toner. I still have breakouts around the time I get my period, but I'm pretty much acne-free the rest of the month.

After I had my son about 4 months ago I started having really bad break outs and I tried several things. I generally have pretty normal/dry skin along with those t-zone oily spots but never had break outs until after my son. I heard good things about Pro-active but just didn't want to deal with buying it online. I just wanted a drug store something and one day I was at Target and found AcneFree. There is a starter pack is like $20 and has a face wash, toner and moisturizer. I began using it in the a.m. and before bed like it says and within 24 hours my acne was pretty much gone and my skin felt good but I found that some of my more sensitive skin, like around my eyes were a little tender from it so I now only use it at night before bed after taking all my makeup off with one of those Olay cloths and I haven't had such great skin in many years. Good luck!

Hi, I don't sell anything, just buy also. I've been using Beauticontrol products for about 4 months now and love it. They have a website www.beauticontrol.com. I'm 31, but use the 20's line since the 30's line makes me feel too oily. Just go check out their products, I love them. My girlfriend sells the stuff so she orders it for me and I just pay her, it's faster. If you have any questions let me know. I'll give you my friends email too, if you want to ask her.

Friend: Mindy O'____@____.com
she has free samples you can try before you buy, that's what I did.

Hi Your M,
This is my first time on mamasource. Happy to have discovered it! I realize that your message seeking a cleanser and toner is quite old. I am curious if you've found a product you are happy with. If so, what is it?
Your request intrigued me because I began using MaryKay products a year ago and have been extremely happy. I even became a consultant. If you have not yet found your dream products, and we live in the same general area, I'd be happy to bring you what I consider an excellent and affordable skin care regimen. Also, it's 100% satisfaction guaranteed, and you can try before you buy. -L ____@____.com

Dermalogica is the best out there. It's a little $$ but lasts long time (about 9 mos for me) and my skin has never, never, never looked so good. Can Google it to find best prices, but just the cleanser and toner are needed.

Love, love, love the Bio Elements line. The cleanser may cost about $32.00 a bottle, but I only buy 2 x year. The best skin care products I've come across in all my yrs.

I buy it online at the following website:

Check out Paula's choice products

I have used them for a couple years now and it works better than anything else I have tried. The bottles last forever and you order online. There is a lot of good learning/information on her website too about what to do for certain skin types and alot of good science behind what is in her products.

my suggestion would be Lush they have all natural organic products. I noticed that my skin has cleared a lot faster since I started using their face soap. The Fresh Farmacy helps with breakouts, controls oil, and smells like Calamine lotion.

www.lush.com they have locations around here

or Neutrogena the Advanced Solutions but I find it a bit too drying

I like the 3 step clinique and have been using it for years. Check out your makeup too....that could be causing you some problems....I bought the bare minerals starter kit at Ulta for $60.00 and I have noticed a improvement in my skin. I love it!! I wear little face makeup and like the way this looks on me, my sister on the other hand always uses a lot of makeup and she loves the bare minerals as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok from what you are describing I would recommend our seaweed line.
www.thebodyshopathome.com/web/faithjones
I like the face wash the best! I don't typicaly use toner however it is always recommended you cleanse, tone and the moisturize. There is a small kit you can get to try that has minis of the line in it. I would also recommend the tea tree blemish stick ($7) for those occasional break outs you would be amazed at what this can do!! The moisturizer I would say use either the seaweed or the Kinetin. The seaweed is better if you have more combo skin. The Kinetin is great during the winter when you skin gets effected more by the elements. I hope this helps here is my website www.thebodyshopathome.com/web/faithjones
If you order at my site I do offer mamasource moms free shipping on orders over $50. Put mamasource in for the "host". This will not be credited on the site so I will need to contact you to give you the credit for the shipping.

Good Luck,

Hi K.,

I also like DHC products and I use Burt's Bees Pore refining mask (works wonderfully)along with the Burt's Bees Royal Jelly eye cream.

I used Estee Lauder in the past but cannot afford it anymore. After trying the samples from DHC I was hooked. I had the Burt's Bees mask from a kit I bought and loved the mask, works just as great as the DHC mask and Estee Lauder mask with out the high price.

Hi K.
You can also try DHC. It's a Japanese skin care line (online) and all their prodcuts are natural. Their soap is great (made from olive oil) and has done great things for my skin. I like their Q10 or Essantials sets.

I sell Beauticontrol products and I love their skin care lines. That is the reason I joined their team- for the discount on skin care. Depending on your age, there is a line of skin care products just for you. Your skin sounds just like mine, and I absolutely fell in love with the facial foaming cleanser and their toner. I use the toner every night, as more would cause the rest of my face to become too dry. I also love their microderm abrasion (once/week) and their chemical peel (one every other week). These four things have done wonders for me- my skin looks fresh and glowing, not dull anymore. I can get you any product you would like. My web page is:

http://www.beautipage.com/cdrymalski/index.asp

The Skinlogics gold cleansing foam and the skinlogics gold tonic (both under the 30's line) are on sale right now through the month of October. If you use it, and find you don't like it, Beauticontrol offers a money back guarantee, so you can't go wrong. Please, let me know if you would like to try it. I have some at home because I use it all the time. I could also tell you about some of their other items I love. I am a consultant, but I don't sell at parties or anything. I just buy for myself. I love to tell other people about it, so if they want to buy they can. I hate pressure sales, so I don't work that way. PM me and we can talk/exchange numbers.
