I MAY Have Taken 4 Motrin Instead of 2... - Occoquan,VA
Anyone ever done this? I'm going to call the pharmacy, but I'm more interested in seeing if someone else has done this by accident... I'm not really worried, but still, it would be nice to hear some input on this. Thanks!

Once, long ago, when I was having problems with my jaw locking up, the dentist (specialist of some kind) wrote me a prescription for 800 mg motrin 4 times a day for two weeks....
Don't sweat it.... it is good to be concerned so you don't do it frequently, but don't worry about it.

I take 800 mg (4) all the time. Literally, every time I have a headache. Up to 2400 mg per day is an anti-inflammatory dose. No big deal!

If they are 200mg each - you will be absolutely fine. If they were prescription strength of 800mg each - then you need to call the pharmacy.
I routinely need 800mg for pain and headaches - and I"m a Nurse, so take my advice as you will.

Perscription does come in 600 and 800. Just make sure that you eat some bread or crackers. It can be hard on the stomach.

Not a problem, there is prescription motrin that comes in 600 mg tablets and I can take 2 of those. Over the counter is 200mg so times 4 is still only 800 mg. I often just take 3 of the 200mg ones for severe headaches. I have no stomach upset with Motrin, but some people do. Hope you feel better soon with whatever you took the ibuprofen for.
