ok, I have been losing tons of weight, and rapidly going down in size, however, I cannot afford to continuosly keep buying new clothes in every size (I know, it must be rough losing weight!)
I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get clothing, expecially pants/jeans, very inexpensively???

What can I do next?

alterations? A friend of mine had this "problem" after gastric bypass. She ended up sewing her own bras smaller. She could only alter so much.

Congratulations!! Losing weight like that is great.
I've been working at it hard for a year now, and in the same boat. No money and my clothes are falling off. I found JcPenney online to have great deals on work clothes. Not sure about casual clothes.

Congratulations. I've had a lot of luck at Salvation Army and Goodwill. Check out other resale shops in your area, Out of the Closet is another good one. Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack and Loehmanns are going to be a little more, but you can get great deals there. You must have patience to dig through the racks, but there are great bargains to be had. You can also find items for the rest of the family. A good friend of mine also shops online at Ebay. You have to know what size and brands work for you when you do this, but she often gets brand new items with the tags still on them.

I would not buy much on each size if you are really losing weight that fast. Make sure you do not lose it too fast though as that can cause problems. I would suggest a good second hand store...some are very organized and have good quality...especially if it is for just a short time.

Looks as if you already have a lot of advice. Since you are losing weight so fast, you may want to stick with second hand until you reach your target goal. You may be interested in some "gently-used" places. They are always inexpensive, and then you can sell them back when you are out of that size and buy more in a smaller size. (I have been buying clothes at some of these place for years and never spend more than $5 for an outfit. Look in your local telephone book for locations. Congratulations!!!!

Hello D.. I wanted to say first off, congratulations on the weight loss (if it is intentional, if not, then i'm sorry to hear about it). I have always shopped the clearance racks at places where I shop. In fact, I don't even look at anything that is "normal" price anymore. I always head straight for the clearance racks every where. I shop at Target, Macy's (which has THE absolute best prices on clearnace merchandise - the items are always cheaper than the clearance tag once you get up to the register for some reason!), TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, and Marshalls. I try not to pay over $10.00 (it has to REALLY be worth it, like my Seven Jeans that I got for $20.00) for any single item of clothing and have had much success for years. I try not to buy anything on line unless they offer free shipping, otherwise, the shipping fee cancels out the deal. Good luck to you with this!!

Congratulations! I went through something similar a few years back and spent a ton on clothes keeping up with it, too. Ross is where I got a lot of my clothes. It takes some patience digging through the racks, but you can find great deals. I loved finding something new to wear in the next size down... what a motivator to keep going! Best of luck!

My mom is going through the same thing and has started getting her clothes at the Womens Assitance League, she pays like $3-4 for some clothes that have never been worn and gets a lot of name brand items!

Congratulations D.! I heard in the news lately, because of high prices on pretty much everything as far as clothing some people are shopping more at consignment stores, thrift shops, ..Goodwill Stores, Salvation Army etc, even yard sales.
