I Have an Eyeliner Question????

it's not cheap, but permenant eyeliner is awsome and I never have to but eyeliner again! I am a redhead and don't have any eyes without some eyeliner. I have had mine done for almost 3 years and love it. Just remember it is permanent so make sure you see or get reference before getting it done. Permenant makeup! It's a wonderful thing I recently discovered. I had my eyeliner permentaly put on, and it will never go anywhere EVER again! I love it! Basically they tatoo it on, and it's there for life, and I never have to re-apply again. It cost me for upper and lower lids around $200, and sooooooo worth it!

I got permanent eyeliner just over a year ago, and I LOVE it. It is a tattoo, but 2 types of numbing cream are used. It was pain free for my mom and most others I spoke to...I had some discomfort, but it was worth it. Let me know if you want more info.

I heard a recommendation by Victoria Snee in one of her beauty buzz blurbs on Mix 102.9 regarding eye liner. She suggested gel liner. She did recommend a certain brand but I can't remember what it was. It might be in the archives on the radio stations website.

I had the same problem and recently switched to a liquid liner. It takes a little longer to put on, but worth it on the days I need it to last. I just went to a waterpark with my kids and it never ran or smudged. The one I use is from the inexpensive teenage line, Jane (Endless Eyes Liquid).

I only read through a few of these but I didnt see anyone mention this.. I brush my eyeliner on.. it is a softer look and it seems to really stay on. I have a HUGE problem with my makeup staying on.. An hour after I do it.. you cant even tell I put anything on.. but.. my eyeliner never fades.. I have been using MAC black eye shadow.. but I have tried different brands when I need a lighter color or something.. get a REALLY thin brush - for eyeliner ...

I just recently started using MAC makeup and love the eyeliner. I've got the pencil - pearlglide eyeliner I think is what it's called. I love it because it doesn't sweat or budge and is super easy to apply. I've been using a purplish color, so I can't say if black would stay put the same way, but I'm assuming so. It is a little pricey - like $14 I think. Good luck. Here's to no more racoon eyes! :)

I highly recommend gel eyeliner by Bobbi Brown. I have been using it since July and love it!! It takes a little practice at first because you apply it with a brush. I have gone to bed with it on and in the morning it is still there til you take it off. Good luck I hope you find some thing you like.

I haven't skimmed much of the other responses, but I've used almay, maybelline, and revlon liquid liners, and they all last.

I also have my eyeliner tattooed on and it is so worth it. Never have to mess with it again! Even when you just roll out of bed you look like you have make up on. If that is not an option for you I would try Revlon Colorstay eyeliner, that is what i used before. It doesnt smudge or smear and it is fairly cheap.

i used to have the same problem! now i use an eyeliner pencil-much better than the liquid. once i line my eyes with the pencil i go over it with a shimmering black eyeshadow by covergirl-it lasts all day and has a beautiful dramatic effect-everyone constantly compliments my eyes!

I dont' sell Mary Kay (my husband works there so we get a good deal on makeup and now it is the only thing he will let me buy!) With that being said- I've had no problems with my mary kay eyeliner smudging or wearing off, mascare the same. They also make a water resistant one- but I think they only offer it in the summer.

i love that it goes on smoothly and most are pre-sharpened so you dont have to deal with eyeliner shavings. I would look up a consultant in your area.

I use a cake eyeliner with a flat eyeliner brush (spray brush with water to wet it. The brand is Laura Mercier. It stays put and doesn't smudge. I never really got the hang of liquid eyeliners--good luck.

I went to Ulta and asked the 20ish salesgirl for advice, after all they are the ones who stay out partying all night, I figure if makeup can hold up to clubbing it will work for me. She gave me Urban Decay brand eye makeup primer. It goes on under your eyemakeup and it works great.

I have 2 eyeliners that I use now I had the same problem along with mascara that always ended up under my eyes at the end of the day. I like the liquid eye liners they really last but if you don't like those or have never tried them the Mary Kay eye liners are really awesome. They go on so smooth you don't have to tug and pull on your eye to get it on. Also it is important at night what you use to take off your make up. The oil free eye make up remover from Mary Kay has conditioner in it that prepares your eyes for the next morning's application.

I love Almay liquid eyeliner. I had the same problem and it made a huge difference. Now I need to figure out a smudge proof mascara

I have oily skin and have always had trouble with my eyeliner and mascara melting.. My Mother-in-Law gave me some Mary Kay when she started selling and I am hooked..I used another brand when I ran out one day and it went everywhere.. Check out the website..

And I've always been willing to pay for good products and have used many expensive things over the years. I just really like the MK stuff these days. Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner was recommended on the beauty message boards to be the best all-day eyeliner. I am using it now and am very happy. I have tried all the other major brands Revlon, Max Factor, etc. and especially in the summer here eyeliner doesn't stay on that long. I got it on line at $18.00 for a small jar that will last a year.

Hi M.- I use and sell Mary Kay. I always get compliments on how fresh my make up is at the end of the day. May I recommend you try the eye primer, it will keep not only your eyeliner on all day, but also any eye make up that you use. I hope this helps.

any waterproof eyeliner should do. i use covergirl mostly, although maybelline is also good. it's a pain to get off at the end of the day, but i guess it's better than walking around with smeared eyeliner. just find a good, non-oil based makeup remover. i used that just carrots stuff and it works fine.

I recently started using MAC cosmetics. The eyeliner that was recommended comes in a little jar and you apply it with an angled eyeliner brush. Took me a little getting used to applying it, but it stays on all day - no smearing. I've seen a gel one in the drug store before that looked like a similar application (a little jar) that might be a little cheaper and worth a try. MAC is actually quite reasonably priced and I could see one container lasting me easily over a year.

I am a user of MAC cosmetics but I only use the AVON glimmerstick eyeliners, they are the best!! They don't smear and it looks fresh all day long. I love the ones that you have to twist not the pencil. The liner is so soft that it goes on perfectly with no mistakes. I usually stock up when they are on sale like buy 1 get 1 or 2/7.99. One eyeliner usually lasts me about 4 months and I put make up on everyday for work and usually on the weekends.

Love Dior waterproof eyeliner pencil! I always put a similar color eye shadow over it to set. My kids are grown but I wear it in the pool. I also don't put any mascara or eyeliner on the bottom.

I like MAC eyeliner but its like $18! I found a very nice 2nd by Revlon & its only about $8 at Target. So I got it in several different shades!

Avon has a great waterresistant eyeliner brand called glimmersticks that usually cost around 2-4 desponding sales going on may be cheaper. I personally use this myself and I am a manager at a restaurant so I really need something to last all day long without smearing. I love it!
