I Have a Really Weird Situation, Hope You Can Help.

Me and my husband have been trying to have another baby for awhile now and now I have my fingers crossed cause I am offically two days late on my period. My question is though can a child sense your pregnant before you? I daughter is not the kind of child that is very curious about other peoples bodies and all of sudden she keeps pulling up my shirt and staring at my belly. Now I know this just might be wishful thinking, but it is extremely weird. So any insight would be nice. I will update too if we find out we are pregnant.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I guess I am just stuck waiting even longer. I got my period this morning after being 4 days late. =(. I have an appointment on the 16th to see what my fertility issue may be. And then another type of xray on my ovaries on aug 10th. So I guess we will see. Thanks for all the answers everyone.

I think children have the ability to know things like that and even weirder things..

My daughter used to have full blown conversations with my deceased mom whom she never met. She would talk to my mom all the time and complain to her when I was a meanie and would punish my daughter and stuff.

Ya know, don't we all wonder that...
Pets too. I remember with our first son, our dog was really acting differently around me, more protective, she followed me everywhere. Strange... I always wondered if she could sense it even before I knew. Good Luck. :)
M., I just noticed that you are looking for p/t work,
would you be interested in taking a look at what I do? I work from home with a wellness company that allows me to make money from home and be able to be home with my boys. The potential for cash flow is huge and is whatever I make it. I have control over my life, not living by someone else's hours - well, except my Boys :) It may or may not be for you, but if you'd like to hear about it, I'd love to chat with you. here is my email. ____@____.com
Good luck with baby #2

Hi M.! Well, I am crossing my fingers for you as well. I absolutely think that children can sense things. I am a big believer in the thought that children have a sixth sense about things that we, as adults do not; simply because children look at things so simply and we have too much clouding our minds to see and feel things that are not right in front of us.
My other thought is that maybe if you aren't pregnant at this time, your daughter is trying to send messages to your body because she knows that you want this to happen. It works, I swear! Those little people are much smarter than we know!!

I'm sorry that you aren't pregnant :o( We also had a tough time and then discovered that my cycles were way off. Figure out how long this cycle was and count that many days out to see when your next period should be. Then count back 14 days and that should be when you ovulate. Get an ovulation predictor and use it on that day to be sure. You can also chart your temperature every morning BEFORE getting out of bed and when you see a dip and spike you should be ovulating. I did the chart and then the ov pred. when I got my spike and BAM! just like that we were pregnant :o)
Here's a link to a free chart online: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/
I would try this before going to the Dr. again because all that medical stress can be counterproductive. Unless you have an issue that I'm not aware of.
Best Wishes and Happy Baby Vibes,

Although I do believe that children and pets may "know" before we do, I don't want you to prematurely get your hopes up. It could be that your daughter is showing attention to your belly because she notices you doing the same in the hopes that you're pregnant (even just looking down could do it). It also could be a phase that she's going through, wanting to learn more about an adult body.

I do hope you are pregnant, though, and I wish you good luck!

I had a friend whose sister (I think she was 5 at the time) kept saying her mom was going to have a baby. Her mom thought she was too old and there was no way she could be pregnant. Sure enough, a few weeks later she found out she was pregnant. Little kids are way more tuned in than we give them credit. They haven't "learned" how to stifle stuff like that yet. Have you asked her if she thinks (or knows) there is a baby in there?

Caleb was like this when I was pregnant with Kaia. He was four, and suddenly very interested in my body. I thought it was one of those "why does mommy have different parts than daddy" things, but he never even asked about things like that. It was always my stomach, and he made a point to talk about it every day. Sure enough, after five weeks, we realized what he'd been getting at. I agree with the other moms, and that your daughter knows. In my opinion, congrats are in order. :)

My dog was the one that was in tune to what was going on. He kept poking my belly with his nose. It got annoying until I found out what he was doing. To this day he is very protective of her and she is 6!

Good Luck! Please keep us updated!
