Hi Moms,

I've always had to pee a lot but since being pregnant and now 2 years later, I pee ALL THE TIME and it's sooooooooooo annoying... I wake up about 4-6 times PER night to go pee. If I don't get up I won't be able to fall asleep because it's making my tummy bloated.. I don't have any yeast infection, it doesn't hurt to go, nothing like that.... I just pee a lot! I've been told to try cranberry pills and that did nothing... Do any of you moms have this problem since having your kids? Is there any vitamin/supplement/natural remedy that will strengthen my bladder or am I going to have to live with CONSTANTLY peeing?

What can I do next?

I would go see the doctor. The reason is because this sounds like something i have heard before where you will need to be placed on medicine. I don't know if this helped, but I would definately say it isn't something big but something you should be seen for. Good luck.

You should def see a dr! But there are some things you can do @ home! Practice tightening your kiegal Muscles. They are your muscles that you use if you were to stop peeing mid pee. Do them as much as possible. This is more to help make sure you dont leak and that you can make it to the bathroom. Do 3 reps of 5 @ a time. You can do these ____@____.com tighten and release to make them stronger!

I had a similar problem and I had to go to physical therapy for 3 sessions, as my doctor recommended. When I first went to the dr they did not want to put me on prescriptions if the physical therapy could help. I highly suggest it, it helped a lot. It may seem weird, and I had no idea that there was physical therapy for it..but it did the trick, you have to keep up with what they teach you on your own. But I would suggest looking into an incontience dr or physical therapist, they say its common but just one of those things people dont like to talk about. Hope this helps.

Sounds like you have overactive bladder. I have it too. I would suggest talking to your doctor about it. One little pill a day could fix you right up.

My stepmother had problems because when she was pregnant with my brother the uterus made the bladder not hang from whatever it hangs from inside her and it became very weak. she had a surgery to restring it. That helped some.

This is something you'll want to discuss with your gynocologist and maybe have him/her refer you to a urologist. I had a similar problem and it ended up being related to some other "female problems" I was having. It took a hysterectomy to solve my problem. Hopefully you won't need that procedure. A friend of mine had the same problem and the urologist was able to help her with a non-surgical solution. Good luck!

HI, I had this bladder problem right after I had my two first children. Unfortunately, I did not find anything natural that will help my problem and I ended up on Detrol for about two years. I have been much better since then. I had a third child and it did not get that bad ever. I am 35 and I do go to the bathroom often but I think my bladder increased from a pea size to an apple. Good Luck!

Kristy, talk to your doctor. You very well may have an overactive bladder. There is medication for it.

I have no clue how to spell this but after YEARS of misdiagnosis a doctor finally figured out my sister has interstitial cystitis. It has something to do, I think, with the lining of her bladdder. She is on medication for it now. It is not normal to have to wake several times during the night to pee so please see your doctor before it gets even worse

if you don't want to live this way, why don't you make an appointment with a board certified urologist? Ask your doctor or check with your insurance company. They specialize in treating this kind of thing. Why suffer?

I would talk to your Dr. there very well could be an underlying issue if you are having to pee that much: Urinary Tract Infection, overactive bladder syndrome, even other non-urinary things like diabetes...so definitely go get it checked out....

Hi Kristy,

The first thing I recommend is seeing your doctor, no it's not normal, but not uncommon, and there can be many causes. I have seen a few doctors for this with no resolution. I have seen some improvement with a combination of limiting caffine intake, a glass of cranberry juice each day (yech) and (please forgive me if I misspell) Keigle exercises daily. If you find a better solution, PLEASE share!
