I Had Surgery Today and Seeking Advice on Sore Throat Treatments

I had day surgery on my special spot today and they put a breathing tube down my throat. So needless to say my throat is killing me. Its all scratchy and I can't stop coughing. Just breathing irritates it. Its driving me CRAZY! So my question is do any of you know any good remedies to make my throat feel better? Or do you know of any good brands of stuff to help soothe it? I've bought Ricola Honey Herb cough drops, tried drinking cold drinks and tried hot soup. (Everything the doctor suggested) Thanks so much for the help in advance guys!

Slippery Elm bark lozenges.... you can get them at Sprouts in FLower Mound, near the check out counters. The flavor I buy is in a pink box.

There is this gum at pharmacies, I forget the name, but they will know what it is. It numbs your throat a little to help with the pain. I used it when I got my tonsils out a few years ago.
