I Am Going to Try Asking Again... Do You Think the Dining Plan at Disney World

Hi again,

I never saw my post on here, so I am going to try one more time. I got 3 respones (thank you).. but if anyone on here who has been to Disneyworld... can you share your opinion on the dining plan? I am going w/ my family (my husband and two kids (3 and 1 year old) and my in-laws.

Your opinions mean a lot to me... thanks ahead of time =)

I saw your question before, but didn't answer, because i don't know.
We are going to Disney in 30 days!!! our 3rd year in a row. We usually rent a house, & this year we are staying on property & doing the dining plan. I think it will be worth it for us. The only problem is PLANNING. You really need to make ADRs (advanced dining reservations) for your table service restaurants. I think having specific times to eat while there is difficult (for us) because 'schedules' tend to get out of whack while there with kids.
But I hear lots of good things about it! & I can't wait!

Loved the dining plan. It paid for itself by the second day! Everywhere we went with exception of 1 french restaurant at Epcot accepted it. So we got to use it at our hotel pool, HOTEL GROCERY STORE and restaurants, Epcot, Disney, MGM. All the stands in all the parks. I want to say everyone gets 4 snacks a day, 1 express type meal and 1 brunch/sit down meal. You can carry them over to the next day too! So if you dont use a sit down meal one day you can have a brunch and a sit down dinner the same day. We would use it again for sure.

It was two and a half years ago that my husband and I used it, but we thought it was great. There was sooo much that was included and we found that we had food left on the plan when we left. We did find it easier to use on the go, we only made reservations one night at a restaurant at our hotel. Overall great experience, lots of food included. It will be worth it.

Hi-
We did Disney last summer, and the dining plan was definitely worth it. We did do a lot of character meals, but more because we could. We were amazed at just how much food was included, and our kids were 5 and almost 4 at the time, and our 4 year old had major eating issues, where he would only eat crunchy things. That made it hard, but we didn't have to use his meals just for him. We had to order from the kiddy menus, but even those meals were more than enough for my husband or I, and it saved us a lot of money on snacks. We also pre-ordered groceries from a grocery delivery place so we didn't have to lug food in suitcases, and both of our kids our lactose-intolerant (my daughter can only have soy milk).

We would definitely do it again, and this time, we wouldn't worry about using up the meal/snack allotments. We had some left over, because we were worried about using them too fast.-we had a lot of leftovers from meals as well, which we often took back to our room.
