I Am Always Getting Dizzy

For the past two months, I have been getting really dizzy and nauseous. No ladies, I am not pregnant! Why is that always everyones first response. I don't hurt anywhere else. Sometimes, it gets so bad, I feel like I am going to pass out. I have a dr's appt on Friday but I just was wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this. So far, I have associated blurred vision when I get an onset of this. It usually happens around 2 in the afternoon and by 5 in the afternoon, this is when I feel like, oh my God, I think I am going to pass out. I take motion sickness medicine everyday to kind of offset it a little, but it doesn't always work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

It could be a bad case of vertigo. Or you could be very hypoglycemic. Whatever it is, im sure the doctor will have to run some tests, but they can also prescribe you some medicine to help with the dizziness and nausea. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi L. ~
Have you had your eyes checked lately? It could be swelling around the optic nerve. Or what about taking something for a headache, like Excedrine? It could me a type of migraine. I also would think ears ... because your inner ear has to do with balance.
Good Luck!

Have you been checked for high blood pressure or diabetes?

Could be one of two things.
Vertigo or Low Blood Sugar. Have your blood sugar tested.

Hi L.,

I hope all went well at ur doctor's appointment. Did u talk to him about ur dizziness? Well I have that problem but sometimes I do pass out. This has been going on since 1986. Finally they got the correct diagnosis 5 yrs ago and I have a severe case of neurocardiogenic snycope (vasalvagal syncope). Look it up and see if u have these symptoms or if those symptoms u are having continue and the doctors are not helping u might want to mention this condition. Good Luck

Have you had a blood test recently? The doc will probably check you for low blood sugar and/or iron deficiency anemia. Your blood sugar is probably dropping at that time of day, creating your symptoms. Been there, it's scary but easily fixed. Dietary adjustments usually will correct both without medicine. Good luck.

You may be dehydrated....it's been a hot summer and if you are not drinking enough water - your body will tell you....dizziness, nausea and vertigo are all early warning signs of dehydration. So - try drinking more water everyday and see if that helps.

You should see a Chiropractor.
