Hydroxycut-Diet Pill

Hello moms,

I've decided that I will do something about my weight not just complaint and feel fat and ugly with low self esteem. I know that diet and excersice alone will not keep me motivated nor give me the energy to keep it up so I am looking for something that will give me energy and control my appetite. I gain 40 lbs with my first baby and it has been 3 years and I have not been able to get back to my old self again. I want to lose 40 lbs before I try getting pregnate again. I heard about Hydroxycut but I am not sure of how it works or the side effects. So I guess what I am asking or want to know is if any one of you have taken it or know someone who tried it and did it work for them?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

I want to thank everyone for your responses. I have read every single one of them and I have decided that I am not taking ANY diet pills, like you all say it's a quick fix that will lead to health problems. I am 26 and just from reading your experiences I have gotten motivated on getting back to the gym. I went to 24 Hour Fitness this morning and became a memeber of the gym, so I plan on working out at least 3 times a week. I am young and dont want to risk my health. I will take walks in the park while my son rides his bike, thanks for the suggestion. My jorney has begun. I will control my food portions, and will try to count the calories in vs the calories out, I will keep you inform of my progress. I am really motivated right now, and Hope to stay this way. Thanks so much for all your advice.. I really appreciated.

Hi A., I know I'm a little late to respond but I wanted to tell you that I tried Hydroxycut a few years back and it doesn't work, at least not for me. Then you gotta take up to 9 pills a day!!! Its not worth it!

Hi A.. I have 3 year old too and same thing 40 lbs over. This is what I have done in the last 10 weeks. Weight watchers flex plan which is point based and leaves room for foods you like. It seems hard at first but I have lost 25 lbs. and my appetite is less and I full longer. I have tried hydroxcut and the caffiene just made me anxious and I did not notice any changes.

I think if you simply give weight watchers a good try you will be pleased. You are welcome to write back if you have any questions.

I'm in the same boat that you are in.:) One day while listening to the radio I heard a lady talking about how she lost weight with herbal supplements. So, I went online to www.renuherbs.com WELL! I ordered the colon cleanser and the "fat soap." It works! You would not imagine that part of weight lose is having regular BM's!! The owners name is Robin Anthony, she is the wife of a former Houston Astro's player. These products work, sometimes the body needs to be detoxed. I'm a nurse and I don't like using weight lose products, BUT when I used this, I was hooked....b/c it works! My family members use them as well. One day on the site she posted a letter from a lady that said that she was using her Parasite Tea (it cleanses the body from parasites). Well, the lady said in her letter that she went to use the RR and saw a long "worm looking" thing in the toilet! EWWWWW, but yes, she had parasites in her. Robin eplained that these are things that give us those cravings for sweets and junkfood. Examples of having these parasites are: itching at night & sweet cravings, and etc. Well, my sister called me Sunday night to tell me...YEP, it happened to her too! She is using the tea and there she found parasites! These products do help with weight loss. I have no personal gain for telling you this, have NO profit from this at all. I'm spreading the word b/c it helped me and I want to see someone helped as well.

From my experience with Hydroxycut, I would suggest not to do it. I took it several years ago when it came out and it did work I lost weight very quickly, but I was also working out 4-5 days at the gym. One day I felt really funny, very figidity and I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my skin. I went to the doctor because my blood pressure was also high. The doctor asked me what kind of medications I was on, and I mentioned nothing but vitamins and hydroxycut. He told me to immediately get off of Hydroxycut, because weight loss stimulants like that ruin the lining of the heart, which was why my heart was working so hard.
I know it's a quick fix, but in the end is it worth it.

I have no advice about Hydroxycut, but I can tell you what worked for me.

My husband and I have gone on a modified version of the Atkins diet. We eat foods with no carbs, fiber (if there are carbs) and absolutely nothing with refined flours etc.

I've lost 27lbs since February and have another 11-20 to be within my heathly weight range.

Good luck!

Hi A.,

I took Hydroxycut and with diet and exercise, I lost 45lbs within 12 months (30lbs in 7 months). The dosage that it states on the bottle was a little much for me, so, I stopped taking the last dose in the afternoon so I could sleep at night. But, even with the before breakfast and lunch doses, it worked for me.

I have to say that there were times that I was very discouraged. I thought I was never going to get the weight off after losing the initial water weight (15/20 lbs). I started losing the weight very slowly. A pound every week or so, but, I learned that the slower it comes off the better. It does not come back as fast if you lose it slower. My new muscles weighed more than the fat so I had to take a chill pill and accept what my body was doing. Where I could see it was in my clothes. The scale may have been slow to go down but the inches around my waist and thighs were coming off really fast. My metabolism totally kicked in to high gear. I had more energy than I ever expected. It was wonderful, for me, my wonderful-supportive husband and my three kids.

I was also eating much better. I, still to this day eat oatmeal every weekday morning and only chicken breast for lunch. I eat pretty much whatever I want for dinner and on the weekends, but keep the chicken handy to breakdown the junk I might have eaten.

Once last tip. Drink lots of warm/hot green tea. This tea is an amazing fat fighter and cleans out all the yuck in your body. I try to drink at least two to four cups a day.

The only downfall that I would tell you that happened to me was that when I stopped taking the Hydroxycut or missed doses on the weekend, I got really bad caffeine headaches. They were terrible and I could not move. They felt worse than migraines for me. But. I am a total wuss and don't handle pain well. When I decide to start taking Hydroxycut again, and I will at some point, I am going to try the caffeine free. I think it will take away from the energy that it gives, but since I lost the weight, I do not need that extra boost.

Good luck to you and I hope my advice helps you.

A long time ago, when Dr. Phil put out his Ultimate Weight Solution Book, he said something like, "If there was actually a diet pill or diet that truly worked out there, we would all be doing it and there would be no more overweight people."

Diet pills are part of a big marketing scam. You may feel less hunger at first but then you build a tolerance to them, just like you do anything else. It puts you on the path for a yo-yo, which is more frustrating than anything (and very unhealthy).

Remember that "slow and steady wins the race". You need to make good choices, one meal, and snack at a time. It is truly changing your lifestyle. You need to work in some time for some exercise, even if it is just a walk (which is most times the most healthy).

I've taken a lot of different approaches to dieting, and Weight Watchers worked for me. It helped me have an eating plan with a lot of freedom and I had someone to be accountable to. If you are going to pay money for something, invest it in the "support" not a product.

Reading Dr. Phil's book is really good too, because beyond teaching you healthy habits and changes that need to be made (which will also be taught in Weight Watchers), it helps you to identify WHY it is you overeat.

The quicker the fix, the worse off you will end up in the long run. I know this isn't the answer that we want when we have weight to lose.

One of my closest friends had a baby a year ago in A.. She is in her late 30's and gained 70 pounds. After the baby was born she had 40 to lose. She used Weight Watchers. By Christmas, she had lost 30 of it and had lost the rest by the baby's first birthday.

If you set your mind to it, you can do it. Be patient and willing to let it come off slow! You CAN do it!

I tried it, it doesn't work! Good luck...The only thing that worked for me was Weight Watchers...
