I was wondering if any of you have any good ideas for a 30th birthday party? I would like to keep the cost around $500 but I am willing to go up to around $1000 if there is a really good idea. One of the ideas I have is paintball, which is around $300 for 10 people, but I am still unsure and would like to consider other options. We live in the St. Louis area and I am looking for ideas in this area in the month of May. Thanks so much for any advice and/or suggestions.

Thank you all so much for your ideas. I am definately going to look more in to the city museum and the cardinals box. You all had wonderful ideas and I appreciate you letting me in on them.

Hi J., I have a friend who is turning 30 at the end of April so my husband and I are throwing and HUGE surprise Birthday Luau the first weekend in May!! There is a TON of stuff that you can do and you can really get others involved too. I have been collecting stuff from the party stores and different sales that i've ran across. You can REALLY jaze up a back yard or even inside the house with some great decorations. We are asking our guest to arrive "in costume" meaning a Luau shirt, grass skirt, what ever. Then as the guest arrive you can great them with a Lei and take their picture. Of course you would also have some Luau based food too to add to the fun. Anyway that my idea. If you have any questions, let me know!! Thanks! L.

I had my husbands 30th at Saratoga lanes. It is an upstairs bowling ally with pool tables, video games, etc. You can rent the whole place for 3 hours or so, and we had a blast. You can bring food in, and even make it a surprise. Cool place.

I have always wanted to go to Dave and Buster's but haven't had the chance yet. It is a restaurant with video games like Nascar simulator, Dance Dance Revolution, basketball shootout and supertrivia. Very cool looking! You can get an entree and $10 game card for $15.99 per person. Here is their Web site: http://www.daveandbusters.com/

What about renting a box for a cardinal game. You get full bar and food. They also have party rooms...

Have a great day

I wanted to do a party bus for my 30th and decided to cancel due to the snow. But this bus takes you wherever you want to go. There is a DJ on board and you can bring your own food and alcohol. If you really want to give him a surprise there are 3 poles in the middle of the bus. LOL!

We had my husband's graduation party at City Museum. Everyone really enjoyed it. We had pizza and they now have a bar if you need that. People were able to stay in the party area or go out and explore on their own. May would be a nice time for it. I think that we paid $8 per person to get in because we had over 15 people. Then we paid another $50 or so for pizza. They also have a deal that you pay $18/person to get in and for pizza and soda and you would would also get a cookie cake for that. I think my husband and I enjoy the City Museum as much as our children.

My husband had my 30th Birthday at the City Museum. Everyone had a great time. We all did art projects including making tie dyes. Then we had lunch at Samwiches, followed with playing all over the City Museum.

Good Luck!
