Welcome to mamapedia, M.!!

You might get more help/answers if you change your title to something like:

Seeking great outdoor picture location in Humble, TX

Your title is VERY vague and people might skip over it. I'm not from Texas so I can't help you with that.

We had ours taken in Conroe, outside at an old, I think it was an old brewery. We had them professionally done and we were driven there and I wasn't paying much attention to the directions. It had a loading dock, peeling paint on the doors and the window panes weren't there, came out beautifully. Old brick, peeling paint. Bet you could find it easy enough if you asked around. Maybe call the Chamber of Commerce and see if they know where it is.

First off, change your question title. I really thought you meant you wanted to create some sort of simple, quiet, peaceful area in your home or something. It piqued my interest. Took me by total surprise you were talking about a city. Title it with something having to do with "Family photo questions...please help!"

We took family photos recently. Our photography had already scoped out rustic areas and talked to business and home owners. Find an old warehouse, winery, barn or shed on someone's property. Old rustic fences are cool as well. They make for the most gorgeous backgrounds!! Then have your photography pick a few filters to show you on the few pictures that you love.

One of our favorite photos we took was in front of a very old shed and our photography brought a cool yellow couch for us to sit on.

Another was using an empty picture frame. My husband and I stood far apart, in front of our kids who were sitting on the couch. The two of us held up the frame which framed in the kids. Then the photographer was able to use his computer program to change the color of the frame as well as insert writing onto the frame. Ours said, "Merry Christmas! Love the ______ Family. 2013. We looooved it and so did everyone we sent it to.

We even drove out to a nearby Target and took picture standing, walking and then sitting on the couch. The Target has a cool brick wall which made for cool pics. It was also awesome that our photography took silly shots too. One of my favorites is with me and my youngest son sticking our tongues out at each other. So fun!

Have fun!!

My cousin is a photographer. She is in Tomball but drives wherever you want to take the photographs. She has gone to Huntsville, TX, Rice University, Galveston and downtown Houston. She is all over the place. PM me for her info if you are interested. She is very talented.
