It would be helpful to know how old the dog is and if you have some kind of routine for it - if he was inside do you let him out regularly orwait for him to go to the door? Also, has he always had this problem with the boxer or did it start around the time you got the puppy?
How do you react when he makes a mess inside? Do you put him outside right away, or do you scold him first?

Girl, It's not the dog. As much as we would like to think it is, it's us as the owners that have the ultimate responsibility.
Life is very busy and they are the first ones we sometime neglect esp. if you have children. I would invest in some training classes. This dog should NEVER be an outside dog because Boxers don't have the coat to handle weather changes. Please don't put the puppy before the boxer either. You need to make it all work so they can all enjoy each other and your family. That's why you have them right? Make time, you'll never regret it. IF and only IF you relinquish the dog, please call the Boxer rescues.

well.. for one you should not punish the dog for some of your own mistakes, did you crate train? or did you let the dog have run of the house, a pet needs boundries and if those lines are not made then they will take advantage of it. as for getting in the dirty diapers.. simple to fix.. move the trash can to the laundry room or pantry. you need to give your pet a treat everytime they come in from the bathroom and they did a good potty.. if they dont potty out there bring them right back in and put them in their crate and take them back out in ten minutes. let your dog out 5-10 minutes after eating, after every nap, and every hour. its like having another baby. you also need to get your pet fixed because if it is a male he is being territorial. just thought iwould help you out a bit.. if you follow these rules i guarentee your dog will be potty trained in a week. bring the poor dog inside its no his fault. thats mean.

well, you did a good job so far, it just takes time and effort to keep them on the right track.especially with girls , i think. all mine are grown up now, and dealing with their own. just be patient, let her know that when she goes she's really growing up to be a big girl, and mom knows she,s doing a good job. always steps to each course, i'm afraid, lol.

Hi A.,
First, Yes you do need to take in to consideration what your reaction is when there is an infraction and whether or not your boxer has a routine.
I am assuming, since you keep him outside that you have a backyard that your dogs can go to at will? If so, this is good.
I have 4 dogs, all pretty big. A Rhodesian, a Pit, an Amstaff and a Lab. I tell you this because your boxer is in no way stupid. He is a large breed and p'oed over something. All sz breeds can and will get pissy over things but it is very important to not let a large breed believe he can dictate anything to you.
This is how I trained all of my dogs, First, get a spray bottle, and fill it with cold water (this is to be used if all else fails).
Find your "sound". Mine is "Beh!"
Make your dog sit for EVERYTHING and do not let that butt get up from that floor until YOU say so, make him sit and stare at his food bowl until you tell him he can eat.
If he wants in/out never let him go in/out ahead of you.
When you see him with a dirty diaper, tell him (in a calm, stern voice) NO, DROP IT. if he just looks at you, or walks away, go to him,(take your water bottle). say it again and add your sound. Still not listening? Then its "I said NO, DROP IT" and squirt him (straight stream on the body, NEVER in the face). As for the potty issue, if you do not have a crate PLEASE invest in one (you can get one pretty cheap on Craigslist)a dog will not usually soil in his/her domain. So, if you cannot watch your dog, crate him. And every couple of hours let him out to potty and drink.until he is trained. But as I said, do this when you cannot watch him, he cannot LIVE in a crate. All of this will take time, as I said, your dog is not dumb but initially it will be a power struggle. But, if you get serious about incorporating training methods, one day it will seem like a miracle occurred, he will just GET IT. Through ALL of this, you need to show this dog lots of love and confirmation for the good behavior, all training needs to be tempered with love.
Oh! And a very helpful hint that I got from Ceasar Milan was that because Dogs truly are Pack animals, you need to be the pack leader, use all the ways mentioned above and add to it using your hand as a pseudo "mouth". If for instance, you want your dog to leave something alone and walk away but he will not, make your hand like a claw (remember when you were a kid?) and use the tips of your fingers on the side of his body (between the neck and shoulder) and "bite" him with a jab motion using just enough pressure for his sz body. The dogs initial response to this should be backing up a bit with a look on his face like "HUH, I didn't know you were a dog!" but may or may not leave the area. Do it until he does.
Good luck! And will you please let me know if I helped you? THANKS
B.

Have you tried crate training the dog. I've just finished crate training two puppies at different times this yr. I read that you can crate train older dogs too. This has been the only way that has worked for me. There's a lot of information online abt. it or I could give more information if needed.
About the trash thing. We have one dog that used to get into trash can, etc. The only thing that worked for us was to get a metal trash can with the lid that automatically closes and has a pedal [?] to step on to open it. Heavy trash can that wasn't open to the dog.
Good Luck with the dog. Crate training is alot of work but so worth it. This will also help the boxer to be more controlled.
Just ask if you need more information, etc.

Hi A.. It sounds like she is going through a stage. It could be she is jealous. Do you show more attention to the others?
I would just take her to the bathroom with you and have her set on her pink potty there with you setting on yours and let her know Mommy is a good girl. Let her hear sounds. Maybe she will get back on tack. That is how I done it with mine. I had a boy and a girl.

just give her a little space.let her know that big girl do this and let her go in with you too.that show her that when she need to go that what she does.It is alot harder for girls then boys.it just us girl are a little fussy at time and we need time.but all way let her know how prould of her you are even if she miss it.don't yell or come down hard on her for if you do she will be afried of the potty.
