hey, im right there with you! im also 20 and have a 13 month old. before i got preggo i was a size two and had a firm, flat perfect tummy. Although i have lost all plus more of my baby weight i still have that extra skin. im back to a size 2. :] i work out and try to eat right. It stresses me out all the time. I was told that since i had a c-section it would be harder for me to get my stomach totally flat like i want it and time. lots of it. I also have stretchmarks bc she was huge for me and im only 5 foot. :[ so my skins really stretch. Im gonna give it more time and just keep doing what im doing and then after my 2nd kiddo im getting a tummy tuck. ive already decided. so just workout, eat right and if all else fails tummy tuck is an option.
good luck and if you find something else that works please let me know!

I've always been a big mama, but I know of friends and family who have more children than I do, and who's bellies are fine. They probably just waited it out. Maybe if you tried wearing a girdle for awhile, that would help....not sure about this, but it couldn't hurt to try along with your dieting and working out. Even so, the children are well worth it, so don't beat yourself up too much about it.

I've seen some great results with Arbonne's Anti-Aging Reactivating Body Serum and Body Lotion. Also, the Intelligence Thermal Fusion Exfoliating Masque has been known to work with SriVectin to minimize stretch marks.

Let me know if you have any questions about Arbonne, as I have found the products and company quite miraculous...

Arbonne has a skin serum and lotion for the body in the RE9 line. It helps tighten loose skin. I could email you some before/after pictures if you like. www.betsycampbell.myarbonne.com

I think the majority of posters have the right idea - what you need right now is time. I didn't lose all the weight as quickly as you (oh, to be 20 again! :), but I do remember that after losing a great deal of it early, my skin did not have the elasticity I was used to. Now, 15 months later, all the weight is gone and my skin is back to normal. I know it's frustrating, but give it some time before you do anything rash. Time may be your best friend in this case. And just enjoy that baby - congrats!!

Just like everyone else said. TIME.... Everyone is different, some people look great after 10 months of pregnancy and they are back to a size 4 (deffinately NOT HERE), and others it never happens. After my son, I never even lost the weight so I didn't notice the extra skin. Two years later, I had my daughter and lost hers and his weight and now I notice. It has taken almost two years and lots of cocoa butter, but it's finally shrinking. Now I just tuck it in my UNDERWEAR!!!!LOL

M.,

You have an advantage, you are 20 years old and your body along with us older women are resilient...we can overcome any obsticle if we are willing to work hard at it. My suggestion to you is to drink at least 10-15 glasses of water, do cardio workouts but incorporate weight training...your body will tighten up with weights and you will develope muscles and dont worry we do not have enough testosterone to develop large muscles. The only way you would is if you took supplements such as steroids...otherwise your going to get stronger, more energetic, and your skin will develop more elasticity meaning it will get tighter and best of all you will also develop a higher resistance to getting sick. I wish you all the best of luck and OOOH also eat at least 5 small meals a day, drink your water, cardio at least 4 days a week and incorporate your weight training starting with maybe 3 times a week and take it as far as you'd like. The internet is a good source to find good weight training exercises so switch it up and keep it interesting. Have fun with it and best of luck!

Hi M., I think 6 months is too soon after you have the baby to know what your skin is going to look like. I've had three children and lost all the weight within months of giving birth, but it did take 1-2 years after each for my skin to tighten up....though it did NOT tighten up after my 3rd. I think skin can be stretched only so much, so many times.

Time to start saving for your abdominoplasty. Might want to wait until you're done having kids though :-) If you think it's bad now, just wait til after your second pregnancy!

The belly sag does tighten up a bit over your baby's first year of life, so you're still in store for some improvement. However, it never goes away completely without surgery.
