How to Get My Husband's Ring Size?

This may sound silly but does he have a pair of gloves that fit him, well...like a glove? You could always measure the ring finger on it.

My husband's ring size is the same as his shoe size. I don't know if that has anything to do with anything, but just thought I would say it. My ex husband's was a little bit bigger than his shoe size because he had fat fingers. I would aks the jeweler if they have any way to tell.

Hold his hand romantically and then compare hand sizes. Talk about how big and strong his hands are. Take note of the size difference, and guess. Guess generously. That way, if the ring is too big, it can just be made smaller by the jeweler. Very easy and the change is inconspicuous if it's not a big difference.

Or, play some kind of game with your son that involves fingers, like drawing outlines of your hands on paper, or doing hand prints with paints. Get your husband involved, and take the sample to the jeweler.

Or, ask the jeweler. Maybe s/he will have some advice to offer, having heard this question many times!

I've also heard that it is usually very close to his shoe size. I know my husbands is pretty close. Whatever his shoe size is perhaps go up about half a size and then that way you can always have it sized down. I think it's easier to get it smaller then to try and get it enlarged (if that's even possible).

Just buy a ring and get it sized afterwards. That way he can go with you and have his finger sized and may save you a trip in case you get the first size wrong.

try telling him that you want to get a father's ring kinda like a mother's ring or you can say that you want to get a ring for a male in your family and you want to compare it to his finger cause their hand is close in size as his. hope that helps you.

Although it may be weird, see if your 4 year old can get daddy to put on a coin-machine ring (the kind that you have to pull apart to fit it on your hand). Then when he takes it off, you'll have the size! :D

Do the two of you ever go shopping together? If so, you can spend sime time at the mall, wandering from here to there, and "just happen" to spot a ring you like. Have him try it on, get sized, chat with the jeweller a minute, decide its just not the right one and move on. Then you've got what you need. But be warned, this occasionally backfires when the man decides he likes the ring enough to purchase it right then, although in the end, you accomplish your goal, and can tell him happy early anniversary. :]
