The going rate per school age child right now during the summer is between 135 and 165 a peice depending on the quality of childcare. *I was a ast director up until a week ago*. I had to call around to all the local centers.

So if she were taking them to local childcare it would be 320 a week. Most Nanny depending on experience make between 10-15 and hour. Since they are school age I would probably charge 10 an hour or you can set a rate. If they were in childcare three days a week at 165 divided by 5 times 3 it would be a 100 a week per kid so 200. So go for 150 or so. 50 a day. THat is the drop in rate for 1 child a day in childcare as well.

Will you be watching them all day or just after school? I worked at Children's Courtyard many years ago and the cost for summer (school age kids) was $100.00 per week. It has been 10 years since I worked there so the rate probably went up. They would have part-time kids (I don't think any daycare even does that now) and charge them $75.00 for 2 or 3 days. I would think you should at least charge $75.00 per kid. Now if you are only watching them after school then you could charge a little less maybe $50.00 per kid. Call around some daycares and see what the going rate is these days. I have a couple of friends who children (under 5) go to in-home daycare and they pay $150.00 - $175.00 per week.

I am charged $10-$12 per hour for two kids. I looked around and asked around because I thought it was a little high, but it seems that it is the going rate.

From my experience in paying babysitters. I have a 4 and 8 year old. If they would watch them from 1-4 hours I have paid them $5.00 per kid an hour. This is what everyone seemed to charged in the Hurst area.
If it was a daily or weekly babysitting it has been a lot cheaper. Weekly full time around $100.00 a week per kid and part time has been around $30.00 a day per kid for all day.
Before 3 years old it was much higher.
