How Many of You Mama's Believe in the Chinese Gender Calendar?

So I just found out my best friend is having a little boy.. she believes in the Chinese Gender Calendar and relies on it. Its kinda funny. It predicted she would have a boy.. and sure enough she is having a boy. So far it has worked for everyone I know, including myself with my first. Im desperately wanting a girl, and I know ill be happy with whatever I get as long as its healthy. How many of you mama's tried it? Was it accurate? Now I know the gender is up to the men... but still? I'd love to hear some feedback!

What can I do next?

It was right with all three of my children (a girl and two boys), but it was wrong for a lot of people I know.

Nope, it was wrong both times for me. It said my twin boys should have been a girl. Now, it says my little girl due this summer should have been a boy.

I COMPLETELY believe in it. it is actually proven to be 97% accurate. but what alot of people dont know is that you are supposed to go by your LUNAR age. which is different than your actual age. see i am 21. but my lunar age is 23.
it was right for my SIL, for ME, and for all my friends that have been pregnant!

edit: Here is a couple charts where you can find out your lunar age

It didn't work for me. It said my boys should've been girls. :)

I used it with my son and it was correct. I also googled how to "make" a boy and followed all the suggestions from multiple sources. I did this with the understanding that none of it was scientific, but what the heck I was not doing anything unnatural :o).

Nothing, is 100% accurate.

I've been surprised at how accurate it has been for many of my clients ... and for my children and grandchildren! All accurate. I've only had it be wrong once with a client's baby.

Good luck :)

It was right with my first, wrong with my second. But somewhere I read that certain times are 50% accurate, some 70%, etc. Like 70% likely to be a boy/girl..and the first time it was more likely to be a girl than when it said 50% boy and turned out to be another girl!

It was wrong for me - said I should have 2 girls and I have 2 boys. I did the regular age and the "Lunar" age - both were wrong. I wish it were more accurate, I might try for a girl (but with my luck, I should try for a boy - then maybe I would end up with a girl) lol

Don't believe in it, but a coworker did it on me, and it was right once, wrong the other. I say it's pure coincidence!

I always check it when I find out someone is pregnant! :) It has always been right.

Even though I know it's not a guarantee, we're going to use it to "plan" for our second baby to be a boy! lol We'll see if it works! haha At least we'll feel like we're putting an effort in it hehe

My friend also told me about it when I was pregnant & to early to find out what I was having- she said her SIL did it & she's having a girl- Confirmed by the doctor.
So both me & my other pregnant friend tried it- it came out TRUE. It said I was having a GIRL

The only thing is you have to remember to use ur age of when u conceived.
My friend was 23 at the time we checked it said she was having a boy but later the doctor said she's having a girl. We went back reread the instructions used her conception age (22) and it was a Girl.

Well I still have to give birth so lets see...but the calendar has predicted I will have a boy, AND on New Year's Eve 2010 a woman came up to my husband and me and said (out of the blue) that we would have a boy child by Nov 2011. Naturally, we were skeptical and slightly weirded out by this-we aren't very mystical people and esp., as we really were only considering conceiving in the coming months - not days. Lo and behold, we conceived about 6 days later after this "prophesy", sex unknown, but giving birth before November!

It was wrong with both of mine.... We're not finding out this time since we have one of each, and it says I'm having a girl, so maybe I should assume it's a boy! If so, then it IS accurate...just if I flip it, LOL!
