How in the WORLD Do I Put Sunblock on Them Without It Burning Their Eyes??

You need to get the stick kind made specifically for faces. Regular sun screen lotion will run into their eyes if they sweat or get hot or go in the water. It's kind of a pain to have 2 different sun screens, but well worth it. We all now use the baby sun block and face stick so don't feel you have to buy yourself a separate sun screen either. You'll also want to avoid putting too much of the sun screen on their hands too in case they rub their eyes.

Are you putting it on your hand first? It's a lot easier to get it just where you want it if you rub in on your hands then use your fingers to get around the eyes, nose, mouth.

We use Coppertone Water Babies, both the lotion and spray lotion.

We used the stick (it's kind of like a glue-stick, only it's sunblock). I think Coppertone makes it. However, my son would still have issues if he sweats, and sometimes his eyes swell up. We found Earth's Best organic sunblock at Walmart. It's around $12 for a small bottle, but we only use it on their faces. Haven't had a single problem and we've used it at least 3 times a week for a while now. They both do fine with a regular spray-on sunblock for their arms and legs (though I have to have my son put his hands in his pockets when I spray it, or I cover his hand with mine so there's less chance of him rubbing it in his eyes)

Hi L., I have seen some sunblock "sticks" with high SPF in the stores down here. That might make it easier to control where the sunblock goes on the face.

Buy the sunblock stick!!!! We have had no problems at all with sunscreen in the kids eyes, because it is a little thicker formula. They dont get sunburned either, but be sure that you are reapplying often enough too. Good luck! Ohh, I also just bought the Aveeno sunblock at is is pretty thick too, so it may not run if you use it on her face. Have fun! ~A.~

Put swimming goggles on them while you apply...you have to get small enough ones so that there eyes are protected and that you are getting as close to the eye area as possible.
