How Do You like Your Swiffer Sweeper Wet Jet?

I just got the mop Swiffer sweeper wet Jet and like it a lot. Seems to mop up dirt quickly and so easy to use.

I also got some of the dry pads u use to pick up dirt as well, but I dont think it works too well.

What are your experiences?

What can I do next?

I got rid of my wet jet. I liked it, but read somewhere that it was harmful to pets (this was before I had a child) so I got rid of it. I have looked it up and it says no harm to pets, but I can't get past my initial reaction.

I do like the dry pads; they get up pet hair when I'm too lazy to pull out the big vac, or too lazy to do the attachment to get under places with same.

I also have the Swiffer Vac sweeper (only dry pads) and originally LOVED it! It made cleaning the hardwood kitchen floor (under the high chairs and booster seat) so easy! Unfortunately, the motor wore out after only one year. Maybe it's too much to expect a $30 item to last more than one year...but I'm disappointed anyway. I'll probably replace it anyway -- it's so easy to use.

I didn't care for it-- made my wood streaky. I also felt it sprayed outward and downward, got all over my baseboards...

Hi Elisabeth,

I agree with you. I don't think it works too well. The Swiffer mop is light and easy to use, but for me it doesn't clean well enough. It just seems to push the dirt around - not actually get it up. I find that after I use it, all the dirt is pushed up into the corners or edges of the floor. Then I end up going around the floor (on my hands and knees) using something else to try and clean up what the Swiffer has left behind ... too much work. I saw at Ace Hardware they have something similar to the Swiffer called Bona. I think I'm going to give that a try and see if it cleans any better.

Elisabeth,
I liked the Swifter vac sweeper too but my motor never lasted to long until the next charge and now it is completely broken. I was trying to find something like the swifter vac but better but have not found it yet.

I use my Swiffer vac a lot, which is a small vacuum and the dry pads. It is great for picking up dog hair, dirt and small crumbs.

I really like mine...as long as you understand it's no replacement for sweeping...i sweep with a broom first and then use the wet jet to get extra dust and dirt up...it's wonderful because we have a gravel driveway and get a ton of dust tracked in the house so now i don't have to get the mop and bucket out nearly as often!

I love my wet jet and have been using it for years!!!! You MUST vacuum before using it, if you do not it does make the dirt accumulate in corners and such. I also hold it up and spray right where I want to instead of leaving it on the floor to spray out in frint and hit your baseboards as someone else commented.
My cousin was over for a playdate and she went to wipe up baby puke with a wipe. When she swiped the wipe up, she could not believe how clean the wipe was...she commented that at her house there would have been dirt on it and how do I get my floors so clean...Swiffer!!!!!!!!!!!!!Love it
