How Do You Clean a Stroller??

I have one of those Graco pink stroller that, of course, got dirty with just the usual. I tried to take off the cover but half of it is permanently attached (for safety, of course, but still...) and tried to hose it down and use a brush but did not clean it.
Any ideas or suggestions? What products worked for you?
Thanks a lot :)

I had a stroller like that (but green) and thought it wouldn't come apart for cleaning but I was able to remove all of the fabric parts by either unsnapping or removing a screw or two. I put everything in my front-loading washer on the gentle cycle and put it back together while it was still damp. It was good as new!

I have that stroller too. Every time I have to clean it, I have to unscrew all the things to get the fabric off. I machine wash all the fabric (lay out to dry, no dryer) and hose the metal/plastic parts. Then I have to screw it all back together. Next time around I am so getting a different stroller!!!

Go to a thrift shop and buy a new one. ;) Sounds easier than trying to clean the one you have. They are a pain! :)

I loved your comment, "I don't know how you could be complete in your life without children".. because I feel the same way. It isn't a passing whim, it's life changing and so right. There is no love quite like it, the love of your own child. And that goes both ways.

Being a mom of teens, as they start to push away, I've been really depressed lately not knowing quite what it is that's bothering me. This has to be it. They've found other interests that don't include me anymore. But I have to let them go and grow. And I still get to feel their love and appreciation now and then, so I cherish those moments as they come.
Sometimes depressed,
Val

If it is a cloth like material, try some Folex, a carpet cleaner. The stuff works magic. No soap or water needed. Just a dry cloth and the bottle of Folex. (works great on carpet too, but I used it on some cloth upholstered chairs once with great success)

You need a green product that is NON TOXIC
I use Melaleuca's Solumel...and works even for carperts and easy to use!!! Love, G.. :0)

mr. clean magic erasers work wonders on strollers, and they don't have harsh chemicals (at least, i don't think they do). and they don't leave a mess that you have to rinse off.

I took mine out to the lawn, got a bucket of warm soapy water, a stiff brush, & scrubbed. I have done this a dozen or so times in the last 2 years then left it outside to dry for half a day. Works wonders.

Please don't use the mr. clean magic erasers. I saw an article with pictures of this woman who let her child use these sort of cleansing erasers to clean the walls after they had marked them up with crayons. The baby had burns all over his face and arms...just awful. She threw him in the tub to wash it off and it made it worse! She had to take him to emerg and the affects lasted for days. I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS MR. CLEAN, BUT JUST TO BE SAFE, PLEASE DON'T USE IT TO CLEAN THE STROLLER.
