How Do I Treat Yeast Infection?

Each summer as the temp's rise I always manage to end up with a yeast infection and not in my "Private" area but usually anywhere my skin touches (namely under my breasts) I use the generic for monistat crean but the moist warm enviornment seems to cause it to spread. Last year I ended up going to the Dr. because it spread over a lot of my front torso and on the line of my underwear. I only have it currently in 2 places (under my breast and under my tummy on the right, but it has started spreading again. What over the counter medicine works for you that you would recommend? I could use an inexpensive solution. My boys laugh and hand me the loaf of bread saying the yeast will help it! Ha Thanks!

What can I do next?

Try mixing 30 drops of Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) with 8 ozs of distilled water. Spray that on and let it air dry. It works great at keeping away my daughter's diaper rashes. You can get the GSE at Fruitful Yield or other health food stores for a good price b/c it lasts FOREVER. Spray it on several times a day. You may want to take the GSE internally too to get rid of the overgrowth of yeast in you. Just make sure to mix it with distilled water as it is used up trying to clean the tap water.

That happened to me one summer when we were on vacation and I was in a bathing suit a lot and in and out of water. It spread and became a problem before I could get home to go to the doctor. So the last two summers I just put Desitin on it when it starts and it always stops it...you could also use Zinc oxide it's basically the same stuff.

I get the same thing... and after finding out that I could use Lotrimin AF on my daughters diaper area I decided I can use it on me too instead of another trip to the Dr for meds! It works wonders! I get it on my c section scar and also under my breasts as well. Also, if I am somewhere where it is uncomfortably warm I make sure I make frequent stops in the restroom to "dry" off and air out a bit! This humidity is awful for me getting the infections! I hope this works for you!
Many blessings to you!

Use the antifungal powders in the athlete's foot section, and air yourself out as much as possible.

Moisture is a major reason why you have this reoccurring infection. Be sure to keep the areas as clean and Dry as possible. Lamisil should work. Also don't forget you can always consult the pharmacist at your local pharmacy. They can offer suggestions as well.

You need to eliminate sugar and dairy from you diet until it clears up as well as add probiotics to help build the good bacteria up in your system. Florajen 3, Florastor and New Chapter are all good brands of probitoics and should be found in the fridgerated section in the healths store. Take before bed on an empty stomach. A yeast infection is a sign of not enough good flora in your digestive tract, too much sugar (wheat, lactose, fructose too) in your diet and sugar acts as a fertilizer for yeast to continue its growth. Eat low sugar fruits like green apples and berries, stay away from melons, bananas, pineapples, that is too high in sugar. Other signs of too much yeast is dandruff, smelly hands and feet. Look up candidia online and you'll find some great alternate rememdies to help eliminate it for good. Good luck, yeast loves the hot, moist, humid weather, it is where it grows best.
